Noticed a bulg in hose...

I was doing routine maintance and noticed I had a bulg at base of hose from water pump to the heater core. I started to pull it off, when I got to the firewall end. I was met with resistance, so I stopped. Does this hose run into the inside of car? or does it stop at the firewall? I just want to rip on it if connected to something inside. Any help would be great as she is sitting outside and I dont want to leave her out there all night.

thanks

Don't pull on it, use a razor knife to cut it along the length (about 4 inches) and peel it off. You may crack the heator core if you pull to hard.

The hose just goes through the firewall to the heater core. IF the heater core gets damaged you will smell antifreeze in your car whenever you have the heat on. You might also get a puddle water in the floor board.

Well, after I thought I got it off without incident. Turns out I did not. I believe I did something as I have a small leak inside the car. Whats the best way to get to this thing as I will have to tackle it in the morning.

thanks again

you have to take the heater unit out of the car to get to the heater core to inspect if you damaged it or not, usually when you take the hose off some antifreeze leaks out and that might be all
