Here are a few pics of my 71 Supreme. I am going to make this my daily driver for the good weather season. The car has factory a/c and front disc brakes. Its original color is code 24 Nordic blue met. Pretty much an original car from what I see, even has the am radio still in the dash! Original Delco Remy voltage regulator and horn relay too. Car has 134000 miles and looks to be the original engine but I have not checked. Seems to run well. Ignore the date on the pics,I got the car March of 08 but did'nt start working on it till March of 09!I'm gonna do my first paint job on this one so wish me luck!

That wouldn't happen to be a dual cutout 70 rear bumper, would it? Got a decent 71/72 dual cutout bumper I could swap with ya (but only if it is a dual cutout).

I owned a '71 Cutlass S when I was young. I really liked it, had a lot of fun in it.

 

Are those snow tires on the back? The car looks like a cool project. I am currently trying to finish a 1970 Cutlass Supreme.

Good looking project, I've always liked the Supreme body style over the "S" it is a lot easier to see out the back, and I think it looks more balanced. But to each their own. Good luck on your painting, it took me about 5-6 paint jobs to get good at it, the main thing I found is if you run into a problem STOP! and regroup the next day it will always work better.

 

Yes that is an original 70 cutout bumper! I already bought a new 71 bumper though. This one is a great cantidate for a rechrome. It has no dents at all!

 

yep they are, car supposedly sat for 15 years and judging by its unmolested condition I believe it!

 

I cleaned up the engine a bit and replaced the valve cover gaskets. Painted some brackets after sanding them down, looks better than it did for now.

 

I changed the oil and filter on it the other day, checked the numbers on her to find out it is indeed a number match car! That was what I had expected by the origanality of it but you never know for sure!
