New member needs help
I am from NJ and have had a lot of cars over the years, my last Olds was a 71 Cutlass Supreme back in the 90's.
I joined this forum for help in determining whether or not to get involved in a project I recently found. It is a 67 Cutlass Supreme convertible. All I can tell is it is a V8 car with a three speed trans on the floor. Be cause of the way the car is stored it is difficult to look for any body tags. It looks like a factory console with bucket seats but I can't find any info on this combo on the internet anywhere. Is this rare? Someone said maybe a Turnpike Cruiser but it seems they were automatic only. I have to make a decision on this car in a few days so any help would be appreciated. Being new I cannot post pictures either.

X2
Frame rot is something you should be concerned with especially if the car is original to the NE states. salt is a big killer and so I would look carefully and ask if the owner has knowledge about the car's history. If the frame is ok and there are no major problems that can't be fixed then I would definitely look at restoring her. Good luck
Solid
Thanks, from what I could see the floors were solid all around. There was some rust on the frame bot not rotted. I couldn't get into the trunk but the top is all there, just old.The car has been indoors for about the last 25 years or so. It would need a complete restoration though. Any idea what engine it would have? 330?
Welcome
It sound like the car has good bones from what you have said. Is there any way you can drag it out of storage to get a better overall look at the frame get in the trunk and look at the trunk pan. Even replacing a trunk pan is not a deal killer if the frame is ok. if you can handle minor rust issues and get it for the price you want then its a good deal. They are great looking cars
There is so much stuff in this garage that there isn't any room to move the stuff off the cars to put somewhere else to begin with.
Plus I don't want to restore this car or even keep it, I just need to know if it's worth buying with the collection. There are other cars I want but it's an all or nothing deal.
IMO...I would say its a strong offer. If car is better than it looks IMO you maybe could get more $$ however if has rot thru in a number of places and especially a weak frame the guy is getting taken. This car has 2 things going for it, its a conv and stick shift but I do believe a 4spd would be more desireable. Your decision.
