New member needs armrest '59 Olds 98
Hope you will forgive me for asking for help right out of the gate.......in the subject line of my first post, no less. Pretty bold I'd say, but I just bought my first classic/project car yesterday and it is in great shape except for a couple of things including the driver's door armrest. I spent a ton of time trying to find one online yesterday with no luck. I'm still waiting on the trim code info (I pick up the car in a couple of weeks) but I don't think color is going to be a major problem since a local upholsterer should be able to change that to match. The only other thing besides carpet is a weak-spring front bench seat. That one is going to be fun as well.
Thanks to all of the club members for letting this guy in!

Thanks for the quick reply, Centurion. It's a 4 door and I live in Nowheresville, Iowa (and like it that way) Do you perhaps have a line on the armrest or bench seat? I'll help old ladies accross the street to build up some good karma until I hear from you............

Jim, I can almost certainly help you with the armrest and possibly with the bench seat.
Both would come from four door 1959 Buick Electras, and I think that the armrests and the bench seat from a standard Electra (not an Electra 225) will exactly interchange with the Olds Ninety Eight.
Please drop me an e-mail at brianL@americanconstco.com. I will shoot a photo of the armrest this weekend.

That is most excellent news, Sir. I'll send the email and a photo of the armrest to be replaced. You were so fast that I didn't even have time to help any old ladies yet, but will do so.......
Thanks again,
Jim
