The insulation is the fun part. 
Do the Tom Sawyer whitewash fence trick and convince bystanders to pay you to let them do it.
Good ventilation is the key, the best way to keep a building cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter is a roof vent fan and proper venting in the gable ends or overhangs, lots of roof vents at the least.

It has a funtional cupola and vented soffits. I'm a little put out that on the nights I have time to work out there it's usually 10-15 degrees and the little kerosene heater can't keep it warm enough to stay out for too long. My son's activities keep most of the nights busy.
