Are the inner tail light lenses for '71 and '72 Cutlass the same?

Thanks, Chumley

Notice the vertical dividers? On some models they were painted
silver and were more obvious

I believe he's talking about the diffusers behind the outer plastic lens, Dan. The answer is yes, they are the same. But upper and lower are not (as I remember).

Thanks guys, I thought the lower diffusers would be the same as I know that the uppers are.

my tail light lens has 4 screws...3 came out pretty easy the 4th is not coming out willingly so does anyone have any ideas on how to remove stubborn screws with out striping them ,i have tried to tap the screwdriver with a hammer to no avail, I'm going to go buy a easy out reverse type drill bit but was wondering if anyone had suggestions?

I Jb weld a crappy screwdriver onto it. Make sure you get rid of the rust, but if you stripped it ,chances are it's shiny now. Hope you have some patience for drying time.

The end of the screw actually passes through the light housing and is exposed on the backside. That's why it rusts into the housing. Try getting to the backside of the housing and spray WD40 on the exposed end of the screw after wire brushing off the rust.

Or PB blaster, I use both products and have found that PB blaster is really good for this kind of thing. It comes out very foamy and doesn't run as easily and I think it breaks rust better. Just my opinion though
