Interior progress '72 Supreme

These cold winter days afford less motivation to work on projects, but I'm able to fit in a few things here and there. Got the front seat finished(minus the headrests) and installed along with the restored seatbelts. Now I can get it on the road again to keep the drivetrain loose. Upholstery is black, can't get good pictures with my cell phone. Still waiting for my door panels and visors from Legendary. Ordered them in Sept. They are apparently having major issues with their tooling. Hopefully they will ship next week as the latest update from them said. Chumley Does anyone know if the chrome end caps for the side trim for buckets will fit the split bench seats? Legendary said they do not, but it seems like those posts would all be the same size for a variety of years and seats.

There aren't any chrome end caps on buckets...at least not 69-72 buckets. Are you asking about those round chrome caps at the bottom of your bench seat on top of the stainless trim piece (the caps that push onto the "post" that sticks through the hole in the stainless)????

The chrome caps that many parts catalogs claim to fit 69-72 buckets are a different size and cannot be used on the bench. I know which ones you are talking about.
I was looking for some also 3 years ago when I did my interior. You will need to find some used ones or make due with some generic axle caps from the hardware store...

I wonder #1. Why they don't make them for split-bench seats? and #2.Why they list them for bucket seats when the buckets don't use them? There are a couple sets on Ebay right now but claiming to be for buckets. Do you know what size they are supposed to be? I have one of the originals on the driver side, but the other was missing. Thanks

obviously not enough demand for bench seat parts... If the caps were not used on Olds buckets, then I bet they were on Chevies and the parts houses 'thought' they would be on Olds' as well...

I'm looking for these same caps for my 68 armrest split bench. Am I also stuck? Nothing from a Chevy, Pontiac, Buick would work? Any recommendations as to an alternative?
