The parking light lenses are actually plastic and pretty tough. Once the screws are out, a little light prying might be needed to get them off because the original gasket was a wax-like nasty thing and will kinda glue the lens on. I replaced the gaskets afterwards.

Now my 72 is round, yours is rectangular - I think that is the only difference though...

I repainted the insides with model paint, too.

Sweet Lens housing rob! I might do that with mine since it looks like a swarm of flies died in there..

X2 on the new gaskets, you might need to get a putty knife or something to get the old ones off, they almost remind me of RTV..

**** if I knew about the gaskets when I ordered my other stuff from the States!! Well, I have to be careful then.

Yes! lenshousing looks great! How come you got a rpm gauge? I want that too

Got the lenses off fairly easy but I broke one bulb, the globe fell off leaving the rest off the lamp in the housing. I twisted the bulb to the right, was it the right direction?? They sat really tight! What to do now?? :-(

OOPS!
Get two pairs of long nose pliers and grip on each side of the metal bulb base. Push in and turn counter clockwise. base should come out. If not, it will need to come out in pieces......

Firm closed cell foam or a soft thick rubber sheet can be used to make your own gaskets.

So I did and it went fine. I got the bulb out using the pliers and the gaskets looked fine. They looked exactly like described above. Can they really be the original gaskets??

In Sweden the parking light arenīt allowed to be orange so I had to change it to a white bulb

Great job! Can't say about the gaskets, but if they look good, just reuse them.
Hmmm - did not know about the white light law - interesting!
