Decode Q-Jet
Q-Jet numbers 7029251 RJ 03/69
Everything I can put together leads to a 1969 Olds, manual...carb. What does the RJ stand for? I assume its not from a Hurst/Olds (I just had to ask). I was told it was off a 1968 455.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

It's a Rochester quadrajet for a '69 Olds. It was used on the '69 4-4-2 with an automatic transmission (400ci engine), except for the W-30 and W-32. It was also used on all '69 Hurst Olds (455ci engine).
The RJ is called what I understand to be some sort of "broadcast code" or "assembly plant code".
The date seems a bit odd. There weren't any slashes in the date code. If the date code is 0369, that means it was manufactured on the 36th day of 1969, or February 5, 1969.
