It will give quick click and then nothing wont crank or make any sound, like I said battery is charged prob worth mentioning recently tried to hot shot another vlasdic I have using my truck and this battery and like a moron accidentally crossed cables. Took battery to auto parts store they said it seemed fine but I had them tbrow it on charge anyway, could domething still be wrong with battery causing non starting? Or does it sound like starter?thanks.

Sounds like loose or dirty connections. Recheck cables to make sure they're tight & clean. If ok at battery, maybe disconnect battery & remove starter & check them at that end.

What John said but before I would pull the starter double check the ground then jump from the battery directly to the starter and see if it jumps to life. 50/50 chance you have a bad ground or bad connection.... Tedd

X2 on John, I believe there's ground issues, coincidence or not. These old buggies are notorious for rusted, corrosion, rusted ground connections-I'm dealing with a few on a 62 Dynamic 88. If you don't fix it send more detail we will fix it!!
