I was hoping that someone could give me some idea what the going sellers rate for this car might be? I have been all over the internet and all Ive learned was my cars rate is about a 4 and that its rare with only 3345 being produced. Any help would be most appreciative!!!
No way to value that car in todays market. It is not one of the desirable cars, needs paint, do not know mileage from your post, can't tell interior condition, lots of other stuff needed to know. I would guess $1000 and up.
I had one of these about 10-12 years ago, a 1991 with the HO Quad 4, I see yours is a Quad 4 so you've got the automatic I'm guessing (?). They are all rare but are low demand cars. Ed is spot on with the $1000 on up price. Looks like this car suffered for the plagued GM rushed paint jobs back from 1988-1993 when the paint wasn't properly adhering to the primer and eventually came off in sheets. I bought a 1991 Calais SL new and within 4 years the paint just started peeling away.
I recently saw a 96 Olds 98 with leather that was listed for $3500. IMHO, that was a bit high. FWIW, I paid $2600 for my 96 98 two years ago and it had decent paint and less than 95k miles on it. I only mention my 98 and the other one I saw because they fall into the same category of "less desirable" corporate GM 80s/90s car.
