70 Cutlass with 425 motor
Hi I'm new to the forum, and recently aquired a 70 Cutlass that I want to tclone as a 442. The vehicle came with a newly rebuilt 425 that runs and sounds great. My problem is that I want the coreect 350 or a 455 in the car. I found a 350 with low miles that I will rebuild, and would like to sell the 425 motor. Is there anyone interested in this motor, and what could I do to the 350 without over building it to remain streetable.
Thanks
James

Welcome to the site. I personally know just about enough to get myself into a whole heap of it, but there are a bunch of good guys here that can help you out. That 425 aught to move here quickly for a reasonable price.

70 with 425 motor
Just to try and answer your questions as to why I would like to get rid of 75 cubic inches. No 68 and future Cutlass came with a 425, and I would like to keep as close to period as possible. I have not been able to obtain a 455 at this time and came upon the correct year 350 at a decent price.

Take that 425 out on the street and beat on it a little bit.
Drive the car around and pay attention to it's response and torque.
Then once you have the 350 in, you will be kicking yourself because it will be extremely disappointing.
What are your plans for the 350 build? I hope you build a monster with it.
