68 trim tag decoding help.

Will upload pic later, but under the body paint is s8 ... any one know the color.

It should have a either a willow gold or parchment interior

Why not a black interior?

I saw the car a few weeks ago. I liked it a lot. Was the orange or red stripe original?

Hey thanks for the pics and kind words on your blog - yes stripe is original but the car should have po5 chrome wheels and no console as stated by orig owner i just put on the dog dish cause i love the look

For green being such a love/hate color during that era, I think the vinyl top "made" the car. I much prefer the '69s but your car made me think twice.
