I have a 66 and just had the frame sandblasted and powdercoated for the new top.
I dont know if the the 66 and 70 are the same but at the first elbow from the header bow there is an adjusting screw ,2 total, one on each side. They are a small allen head screw.I adjusted my gap with those screws.

I remember looking into this a while back. There are frame adjustment points on the frame but it has to be adjusted right before the top fabric is installed. After that, I saw no possible adjustments.
I hope I am wrong and someone posts a solution!

Dude, it's a convertible!! They leak, and there is a slim chance that a 35-45 year old convertible is gonna be 100% tight. I've used adhesive all-purpose window/door sealing strips to fill in gaps. I had to put a piece along the side of my rear windows so the door window would seal up to it. And there are little gaps above the vent window at the junction corners where the top, windshield frame, and door/vent window meet. Just gotta keep it in a garage or buy a water-proof cover. And be gentle with the hose when ur shining her up!! My top and frame assembly are new, and aftermarket isn't always perfect. Def try those window sealing strips I mentioned though. It's barely noticeable and very effective. Just keep the car as dry as possible!!
