'65 Cutlass trans kick down adjustment?

Does anyone know if you can adjust the kick down switch to make it downshift sooner besides the throttle rod? Right now I have to just about stomp a hole in the floorboard to make it kick down into 1st and I don't know how much more threads are left in the throttle rod. This is on a '65 Cutlass that we put a 425/T400 combo in.

Since the 65 did not come with a T400 what are using for and where is the location of the kickdown switch?

It's the stock one the car came with. Jetaway and T400 share electric kick down and the harness also plugs right in.

did yo ck the output of the KDSw and verify that it puts out 12V near WOT?

Ck the trans tang for some ohms, so if 12V gets there it can do something?

Here are 2 threads, 1st was for my car, and the second has more info. I was under impression the 65 setup had a seperate kickdown switch hooked to the carb, I may be mistaken.

It works, just have to pretty much put my foot through the floor to make it downshift. My '66 kick down is identical to the '65 I'm working on now, thanks for the links, good info in there.

My switch is all messed up I just haven't gotten a chance to swap it out. I might just set one up on the carb and be done with it. So right now I just manually shift it down.
