1969 column shifter

I replaced my straight column with a tilt column from a 71 I believe but the shifter handle is hitting dash pad in park does the tilt shifter handles have a different bend on them does anyone know Bc it’s starting to crack it

I think the shift lever on a '70-'72 is straight, while the shift lever on '68-'69s are dog-legged to avoid the dash that protrudes more than the '70-'72s. You might have to swap the shift levers from your old column to your new one.
