Paint looks good, but I don't like that 442 grill. I painted my "S" grill black and think it looks very sharp (I may be biased).

"LI Olds", which wheels? the after market ones or the Cutlass rally's?
"Starfire" My "S" grille was crack and broken, I like the "442" grille better.
The paint is factory.
What happen to your hood emblems?

Gene,

I bought the car without the emblems on it. I'm guessing it's a replacement hood. Haven't had the guts yet to drill the holes for the emblems.

My grill was cracked too, so I fixed it. I thought the black paint would mask the fixed areas better than the silver (which it does) and the bonus is I think it looks better than the silver too.

My first car was a Willow Gold Cutlass Supreme 4-door. I've always liked that color.

Gene, which wheels do you have on it now? The aftermarket ones are pretty cool, what type of wheels are they? The SS wheels with the Delta 88 spinners are nice too. It makes it look reserved like a sleeper. Definitely a cool car!

FWIW, I didn't even notice the difference between the two grilles until I looked again. It does look cool with the black grill. Oldsguy did the same thing to his 71 Cutlass S years and years ago. The black grill makes a Cutlass look more Herculian.

I like it with the 442 grill and the aftermarket wheels. Don't like the whitewalls with the caps

"Starfire" The "S" grille does look great painted black. Mine was all broken out on the bottom. I would have a problem drilling holes in a great paint job also.
The 14" tires and wheels with the factory wire hub caps was at purchase date, then I came across the after market wheels and tires. The tires rub in the back all the time. Then I came across the late model Cutlass ralleys with the Delta caps and they are 15". I need to finish putting the rear wheel opening mldgs.
Just a few changes, but bone stock as it was new in '68. I purchase from the original owner. He had special ordered it and went to the factory and drove it back to Carson City Nevada. It needs a little more work, but it is here to stay.
