1966 Cutlass Power Top

Good afternoon. I have a 1966 Cutlass convertible and the down switch had quit working. Replaced the switch and it worked for a week or so then stopped again. i suppose that I have a short somewhere. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the power top?

This is one of the most basic systems in these cars. The wiring goes along the floor on the drivers side with the ribbon wiring. Only two wires to the pump behind the back seat you can get to the plug and wiring from the trunk and you should be able to access the plug there at the boot. nothing else between the pump and the switch to my knowledge. I have one I drive often and a parts car. Can get some pictures if you need them.

Thanks for the quick reply, Larry. I'll check my switch to see if the down side is burned out. Then, check the wires at each end. That should do it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Down wire was shorted out on the floor. Easy fix. Thanks for the input!
