Welcome. Those are some cool pics. You should put a drive train in that thing and drive it! Even if it doesn't have fenders.

Good luck and try to find a shop that won't put you at the back of the line and take months or years! I ended up doing my 66 myself even though I am not a body man either. It was a good chance to learn! Go onto ebay and get an assembly manual if you don't have one. With patience and a couple sanders from harbor Freight (I prefer 3M sanding stuff though) you can do it. Get a DA and an in-line sander (the latter to get the waves out if you use bondo). Your 3M or other supplier can sell you Z-grip etc. bondo.

Gearheads78, nice car! I have a 67 convertible and am trying to decide what type of wheels to put on it. I see you got some on yours what type, can you post a picture from the side.

thanks...I cheated just to have it look decent for Goodguys last year. I chopped the factory springs to get just the right look. I had to do it twice because the first cut was not quite aggessive enough. Took about 5 hours the first time do to never being apart. The second time only took about an hour.

It was just something I bought used that looked decent and fit the car OK for the same Goodguys show. They were Billet Specialties SLX wheels but I forgot the style number. I sold them about a month after the show.

New wheels should be here about 7-10 days. Watch my build thread for pictures of them.

here is an old pic with the other wheels
