Storms in the South yesterday

We had a lot of tornadoes yesterday here in the south. My hometown had 3 tornadoes in less than one hour. There were ten at one time within 60 miles of my house. Prayers for the 23 confirmed dead now. Three were children. A lot of people lost everything.

It sounds like Lee County got the worst of it. It's a sad time for us.

It was amazing that the EF4 tornado was on the ground for 1 hr and 16 minutes and traveled 70 miles. We had some damage to our weekend getaway.

I'm 62 and cannot remember weirder weather than we've had the past year. My Aunt Gray is 94 and says the same thing. High winds unnerve me.

Used to be hurricane was something that happened in Bermuda and tornado in the plains. Now you hate to see spring and fall coming for the storms.

A very bad day for those of us here in Alabama. It breaks my heart when people die, especially children in storms. These tornadoes pretty much came out of nowhere with very little time to prepare and take shelter. May The Good Lord have mercy on those who died and heal the injured.
