Last put on snow tires in 1979. 65 Impala sport coupe, 283 powerglide. Don’t know what rear end it had bit with snows on the rear it was a snow monster.
Winters already here, been hunting last 6 days, snow, wind and cold already. Cutlass is covered and we’re hoping they won’t spray roads for a bit longer.
We got our first snow here this winter today with -13 C outside. But we be lucky , in the
southern part of the country it,s snowing very. Customers and employee need to sleep
over in a IKEA warehouse because of no roads avalible to all snow. Luckely there was
both beds and food in the warehouse. Wintertires are one here also , 3 cars with studded
tires and 1 without studs
No snow, mostly rain here. Torrential rain, which just ended yesterday. In any case, the cars are in the garage until late March because as soon as it gets within 10* of freezing they'll be slathering the roads with salt.

I've been driving the truck for a month now, that's when they first salted here in northern Wisconsin. Supposed to get a storm tomorrow, about 4-8 inches and be -9 degrees by Monday night. The kicker is I got a 72 Cutlass a few days before they salted and I can't drive it till spring.

It would be nice to have a older car for winterdriving in snow , salted roads and freezing temp. Maybe life is
to short for only having fun in the summer.
I don't miss my Northeast days - I'm the classic Philly native whom now enjoys 70+* winters and top-down
New Years Day beach runs but I still remember my days of driving sideways on the black ice and having my daily rides buried in snow for 2 weeks at a time when the plows came down our streets after a snow storm.
I live in suburban St. Paul, Mn. So I bought a new Toro snowblower this fall & so far no snow. The storm that guy from Wis. mentioned is going to miss us. Mixed feelings about wanting to try out my new toy & not having to spend time at the car wash washing off that !@#$%^& salt. My '09 Lucerne is from Louisiana with not much winter use until I got it & GM already bought new fenders for our '15 Equinox. So besides washing underneath, I now open the front doors & wash out that area in the front fenders on both of our cars. Gotta deal with some surface rust on the inside seam of the left back door on the Equinox. Salt wins unless you store your car between Oct. & May here.

2018 was a real hot summer here with up to 34C in the shadow , not pleasant .
My wifes Subaru is an awesome car in the snow and many here want Subaru
for their 4x4 , more popular than Volvo.
In 2010 we had a lot of snow as in this pic and the Deutz had to work hard.
We have tried a snowblower but tractor is much better and faster to get rid of the snow.
Finally dropped down to ten here in Denver overnight couple nights ago. Warmed right back up though. Still zero snow. I really feel for the ski industry and people that have planned skiing vacations out here this year. The have gotten snow in the mountains so ski resorts are open but nothing like the snow that they are used to.
Krown, every fall and sometimes again in Feb.
It works, the truck doesn't get washed until May, it's sprayed to cover, roof rack to pan. Glass gets washed after application and that's.
Been at it for decades
