will it ever melt?
Not a big winter fan either... finally got my 66 dynamic on the road and can't wait to see what she can do on dry pavement. Seems the auto tranny wants to shift a little too late, shifts hard sometimes between 1st and 2nd. I was driving over the weekend and had one of those hard shifts on an icy road. Wow, almost lost control there.
It's getting better as I drive more, but I'd be happier if the snow dissappeared.

Sounds farmiliar, we can't even drive our Olds' out here in Montreal, too much salt on the roads would probably make my fenders actually fall off for good.

.....Now...the first person who says it's too hot or humid....
I agree! You won't hear me complain about the heat, lol! I don't like the humidity at all, but I love the heat and the sun!! I've been cold for too long this winter.....

I think you are up by Flint? I was watching the weather tonight, and for Metro Detroit we are looking at another 4-6" by Friday afternoon. This is also the weekend for Autorama in Detroit. I was on Fort St. on Wednesday and the cars and trailers were all lined up to get into Cobo Hall for set up. One guy was in a 68' Chevelle (they were driving it in, no trailer!) . I pulled up next to him at the light, he said they had been waiting for about 4 hours and had moved about 2 1/2 blocks.
Yep, I like snow --going to visit it then leaving.
Spent a winter n a bit around Great Bear Lake. That pretty much cured me for life.
good luck

Strange things happen.Christchurch wasn`t even regarded as the big risk area . Was wellington where I live. Been 1/2 expecting the big one for a long time. After Kobe in Japan, heaps of our engineers went that way to study what survived and what failed . Subsequently,We did do some strengthening of motorway piers ..as yet untested.
In a much less serious manner we will all be affected . They may put a levy on us.Our overseas re-insurance will increase .Our GDP will suffer for years.Ofcourse that is zilch compared to what those people are having to endure.
Hang in there, y'all...
Those pictures of the snowy landscape sure look good, but it would be tough to live there and deal with it for months at a time.
I guess we have been lucky with our past 2 weeks of 70s and 80's.
Last Friday it was 86.
Of course here in the south we have our nasty disadvantages, too......

If it wasn't for all this snow, I wouldn't be able to keep my youthful figure
actually we were ripped off Monday because the snowfall we were supposed to get stayed south of the lakes and the same thing happened today... all I received was a few wisps
and I was hoping to add to my carefuly hoarded white piles of the past two months but was blind sided by those two record setting days of heat last week and my piles were virtually exterminated

And here "south of the lakes" we got hammered again (I live about 30 miles South of Lake Ontario). I've been here four years and this is at least four times as much snow as I've seen. We sit between Rochester & Syracuse and they usually get all the lake effect stuff just west and just east of us. We usually don't get much and what we get usually melts pretty quickly. This winter we just haven't gotten warm enough to melt anything. I've been plowed out seven times & they only plow when we get more than 6".
Here it's all been rain. Very heavy rain. Supposed to start again tomorrow. The Ohio river is just a foot below flood stage. And that's in February. You kinda expect that in April, but not this early in the year.
Are you going to make it to Autorama? I was thinking about going but not in this snow and hot rods are not really my favorites, appreciate the workmanship though.
I live about 10 miles N/E of Flint. Snowing again today, I've quit watching the weather reports, but it's coming down pretty good. I'll have to plow again tomorrow for sure.
