Also, in the vacuum line to the distributor advance canister, there is a 2-way connector, which may be faulty. This part was superceded with a better junction on later models, using an additional port. I suggest that you try a 3-way and see if your situation improves.

 

If she had just walked the rest of the way to work this never would have happened.
