Yaaahooooo!! WE ROCK!!! (pun intended). I know most of you don't get the Curling scene, or even care about it. I do though and curl for 6 months of the year. To each their own I guess. Anyway.....


CANADA is GOLD! Ford World Mens Curling Championship in Basel Switzerland today.....after 11 ends of play!!! Can you tell I'm all excited about this? We may not have great basketball, football, soccer or baseball teams, but we can CURL!!! (and play HOCKEY!!)

Glenn Howard and his rogues Craig Saville, Brent Laing and 'Wayner' Middaugh. These boys deserve a round of applause. I'm going to hoist a tankard to them in their honor shortly. We sent in our 'EH" team and they produced. RR play they only lost one game to the 'Kiwi's (New Zealand). A 10 win, 1 loss record.



USA, skipped by Heath McCormick tried hard, and they were worthy competitors. For some reason though, Team USA has 2 Canadians on their team....and we love you guys for that! FYI, the team we lost to? New Zealand? Team USA kicked their butts, 10-1

SILVER - Goes to a young Scotland Team Tom Brewster. They're going to be a force to deal with in coming years.
BRONZE - Goes to the Swedes skipped by Sebastian Kraupp, knocking off the clownpants rink (Norway) skipped by Olympic medalist Thomas Ulrsud

 

Congrats to you folks North of the border. I'm clueless about the sport... but your team took the gold so I'm happy for you guys
