Tedd just checking in

Still in a wheelchair or walker, had a setback a couple weeks ago and lost much of what I had gained. Found out (through an MRI) that I had a small, tiny stroke that took some of the strength and energy away, no other issues but caused much worry. Back on track with PT, almost where I was before the stroke.

I've done a few Cars and Coffee show and shines and had a really good time with old friends and made a few new ones. At the last show a Gent came up and started up a conversion, he mentioned 13 years ago he was married using a car similar to mine. after a while it came down to it was this verry car. He called his wife over and explained that it was this car that was used in their wedding. Quite an emotional moment, and she began to cry. Kids and all got a picture in the car, after all they are just memory machines... Tedd

VERY cool. Yes, they are for memories. Making them, re-living them, and sometimes wanting/needing to forget them.

Sad to hear about the setbacks, but keep pushin' forward. No reverse gears on those wheelchairs/walkers.

Tedd, that's a bummer that you had a mini stroke. 🤕 Make sure you keep doing the PT and get out to those car shows when you can.

Tedd,

Hope those setbacks are in the rear view mirror! Keep making progress.

Kudos to you for remaking that family memory... nothing better than that.

Keep up the progress.

Glad you're making progress. When you can take two steps forward and only one back you're on the right track.

Been a bit worried between your health problems, the fires, and the bear!

Good stuff, Tedd.

Hey, my mom has a little black bear roaming around, can I mail it to yours and they can get it on?

Thanks for the replies, the bear is beginning to be a problem, seems it likes what he has found in the neighborhood, he usually comes around a little after midnight, my dog lights up out of a dead
sleep and barks clear through the house, through the doggie door and into the night to chase the bear away. I'm hoping she doesn't catch it, also hope the neighbors aren't upset about the dog noise for the next hour or so.

Just got the Money Pit back from the shop, been there for three weeks or more. The new gauge cluster sent the computer nuts and made it think it was a theft issue., speedometer and odometer wouldn't work, red lights were on the dash, way over my head to even start to figure out a fix. $750 latter everything works but I still have a red light glowing. I think I'll fix it with a piece of black tape and forget it is still on. I miss the simplicity of my Miata. You all have a good day....Tedd

Thank you for the update Tedd. Cool story about the married couple who used your car in the past. I'm glad your able to get out and enjoy spending time with people who appreciate cars like yours.
