Tattoos, pinstripes, or other art

Ok, here is a barely disguised, yes even flagrant attempt to show off my newest tattoo. But hey, at least I am honest about it? So what about your works of art? It took me five months and four settings to finish this one, life gets in the way like that. It is based on a song I like by a local Christian group from II Samuel chapter 22 verse 9 to be exact but the whole chapter is cool. I call it "God's Wrath". I found the original image in a library book of old artwork by Italian artists in the 11th century.

Oh, I took the pictures myself and my hand was up so the background is upside down.

That turned out well!

Make sure you don't take a picture of that "Welcome Aboard" tattoo that you told me about. I DEFINITELY don't want to know about that part of your Navy experience.

Pat, it's a Navy joke, you know...all those sailors on board a ship with no women and all. Put that image with the term "tramp stamp". You get the picture.
Jokers, show us your ink.

Very nice artwork Dan!

I like it Dan, the dude with the mullet from the '80's with the 442 haircut very creative, but that grows back...does anyone have anything as dedicated (or maybe stupid!) as this! Each car has my girls' bithdate as the plate #! And I put their names as if I am naming the cars (like they did in the old days of racing) on the sides....I happen to like them!

Erik, nice ink. I think they both show continuity of thought versus some tattoos I have seen that show no thought at all. Girls want a butterfly on their ankle, guys want a butterfly knife piercing a skull on their bicep....what kind of thought goes behind those?

Easy, what are you thinking about for your tattoo?

Finally, any other forms or art to share? Pinstripping? Metalwork? Paint projects? Anything?

Ultimate Tattoo ????

Ok for you ink fans, here's the creme de la creme.

Reminds me of the first time I saw a girl wearing a "Guess" T shirt.

I walked up to her and said, "Implants?" ...................She slapped me.

Yeah, I've seen implants before on the head but not on the soft tissue in the arm or leg. Interesting...
I met someone the other day at a local cigar store in the smoking lounge. He had the most tattoos I have ever seen in person, plus he had multiple peircings on his eyebrows and ears. Probably people have seen images on television or on the internet but it was quite interesting to meet someone live. An unexpected fact was that he was probably 50 years old, he started over twenty years ago. I didn't ask him what he did to make a living but it included travel. He had to go to London on a business trip the next day and ordered four hand crafted belt knives from another person while we were in the lounge so he must make some dough whatever it is he does. The knives were $400 to $600 each.
I have another tattoo in the works right now but it isn't finished yet so I will wait to post a picture when it is.
Still no pinstripes or other forms of craftsmanship or art?

Glad to see you're ink fans as well!

Here's mine.
It's the old Rob Roskopp skateboard graphic from early 1990's Santa Cruz days.
Needless to say, skateboarding has played a huge part in my life.

Still got to add colour but you get the idea....

I donno...ask hairy olds. He's the dude with all the talant. I might have to find out where he lives and bang on his door for lessons. My Grandfather does stained glass too but with work and he is getting way up there...I just don't want to bother him.
on a side note...how is that 48 coming?

Hey Dan,
Man that some scary ink. I read the chapter and it captures the mood of it well. I'm not into the whole tatoo thing, especially on Women. When I rob a bank or liquor store I would hate to be so easliy identified. All they'll be able to say is he left in an Oldsmobile.

Sorry Chad I don't give lessons to anyone not even my kids. I can be taught but I have no patience to teach.

I'm a big fan of ink. I've got a multitude , Ex-Navy, biker in both scenes, etc.
This is my latest that I have to finish with a giant Celtic cross down the center by Fitto Airbrush design in Montreal

You're thinking of a Submarine.

Most of the ships in the fleet today and for the past 15-20 years have had women on them. (Navy Vet)

Here's my new tattoo...

I just got this tattoo last Wednesday. It's a memorial tattoo for my dad. He passed away when I was 21. The tat is of the car he had. He let me work on it with him, and we rebuilt the engine together and when I was 18 he gave it to me. I still have to get it colored in in a few weeks when it's completely healed. It's going to be gold with a white top.

Very nice work. I can tell by the lines that the artist is going to try for that high gloss reflective look which by the way is hard to achieve on skin. I think it will be great. Looks like the Cutlass is a '71.
