So I almost had a heart attack today

Today I bought a clean 87 Camaro with a broke motor to fix and flip. I am dragging it up the trailer with the winch and I'm watch things real close. Just as the winch is working the hardest there is a huge POP sounded like a tire exploading. Scared the living **** out of me.
Turned out to be the A/C hose on my truck blew in half. Never seen that happen in my life. Just glad it happened now and not next month on the way to Ohio.

I have never seen one of those hoses do that. Is your truck old? I am glad to hear that it wasn't the winch giving out or a cable breaking. That could have been real bad.

That does get the heart pumping at a high rpm. Glad its nothing real bad. Just a warning to check all hoses and belts before you leave.

I am familiar with that kind of pop. Was charging a system once where the guy had "repaired" a high pressure line with some kind of rubber hose. It was out of sight, so I didn't notice it until it blew. Resembled the sound of a shotgun at close range. Probably good that I didn't develop the heart trouble until later. . .

Good thing it wasn't the winch cable. That could have taken someone's arm off.
