Yeah the fireworks in the neighborhood where freaking him out so I took my shirt off and put it on him and that usually calms him down. We did the same thing when he was a pup with his separation anxiety.

Ted is my avatar, he is about 12 years now and loves everybody. Maggie adopted us and our garage to raise her babies (three big boys) during hurricane Irma in 2017, she is about 5 years. 'Tinker, the black and white one, and her 4 siblings (about 3 weeks) and mother were abandoned during an eviction in January of 2018, left without food and water in a garage. We took them in and nursed them back to good health, found good homes for mom and kittens except for the one we kept. That's Tinker enjoying a new Chewy box.

Our Bulldogs
Monty, age 4, 60 lbs. Named after the WWII British General Bernard Law Montgomery whose nickname was "Monty".
Maggie Mae, age 2, 55 lbs. For the younger folks in our forum, she was named after Rod Stewart's most famous song.
Our hilarious Bulldogs, Monty and Maggie Mae. A source of constant entertainment.

Lake foot- Beautiful pup, she doesn't look too old. Glad she has a big brother to show her the ropes, good and bad, LoL! Thanks for being their champion and hero! We thought seriously about getting rescued, but my wife had her heart set on purebred English Bulldogs since she was little and you don't see very many rescue purebred English Bulldogs. Those are ours a couple of posts up.

Stella, she was 1 day from euthanasian when the no kill rescue shelter got her from the city, the city told the shelter she eluded them for 4 weeks she had 4 pups with her and was emaciated to the point where she could not keep herself and the pups alive, they had to separate her from her pups (sent them to a foster nursing mom) so that they and Stella could survive. The no kill shelter nursed her back to health and put her up for adoption, they said she was a wonderful dog but said she is not fond of men !! (that still holds true today ) we took a chance and brought her home, she would not come near me for about a week finally Oscar Mayer and I had a break through with the aid of hot dogs she finally accepted me. despite the man thing she is probably the smartest most obedient, faithful, lovable dogs I have ever had(and I have had some great rescues) she can be in the house alone for 12 hours no mess, can be off leash and will return to my side at a whisper, I made a mistake once and left the RV gate open and put her out side 20 min later when I opened the frt door there she was waiting with the why did you leave me out here look !! For a dog that didn't like me at first she is now at my side 24/7 and she loves my wife too.
In this photo she is not getting ready for St Patrick's day!!!! I was cutting the back yard and she decided it would be great fun to play in the grass clippings. we have had her now 7 years the vet estimates she was about 2 when we got her, breed unknown vets best guess Aussie and cattle dog mix. she is pure white except for large brown speckles on the back of her ears.P/S notice the head position? she loves to lay with her head against something at a 90 degree angle !! weirdo !!!

Pepper,
I picked her up 12-11-22 at 20 weeks old
Happened she was born the day after I had to make the decision to put Otto down.
Puppies are a lot of work especially when I was was use to a 12-1/2 yr old on Ottopilot
Thought I would revive the thread

Nice looking dog and good on you for bringing another dog into your home and giving it a great place to live and thrive. Adoptive parents are angels on earth.
Yeah, no joke about that, and once again multiple rep points for bringing a pup into your household. It's not easy, but you knew that in advance, so again props for your didligence in providing a good home for a worthy lifelong companion.
edit: Thanks for the pictures, as you know we LOVE pictures and those are adorable.

I forgot about this thread, or I would have shared this pic earlier.
This is my sons bearded dragon shown in post 11. I hadn’t noticed how big he has gotten.

I am kind of surprised that this thread isn't pages deep. Fun71 I love Aussies too. We got our Husky after our terrier passed. Huskies are known for being talkative. Unfortunately (or a blessing) Pearl doesn't talk at all.
How do people not have animals?
Here are my cats.
Lisa (left eye lopez) she was born with a detached retina.
Her sister. Eartha Kitt

Our English Bulldogs
It has been 2-years since I last posted to this thread, so just because I love our dogs so much I'm going to post some more recent pics.
Maggie Mae (left) 4-years, and Monty (right) 6-years.

Tug-of-Wars that last a half-hour are a favorite game. I don't know who has more fun, them or us watching them!

Here is our cat , came to us 2010 when we worked in the garden in the summer. Asked around but
nobody here know where this cat came from but we are glad she came to us . Her weight is only
2,7 kg.
This is my brothers cat :
Love dogs also but it,s easier with cat when we both ride our bikes.
