Pearl Harbor

Lets take a moment of silence to remember. It was also 41 years ago today that I entered the service.

Amen Brother. My first airplane trip was heading to basic training at Fort Jackson, SC on Friday, February 13,1970 in a snow storm.

Definitely one of the major turning points in the history of this country... Remembrance of these type historical events and the rationale behind them is something that should always be passed on for future generations to more appreciate the freedoms we have...

Went and saw Midway at the big screen a couple weeks ago. There was a part about Pearl Harbor and It really brought back thoughts about when I visited Hawaii and Pearl Harbor in 1979 while in the Navy. The Japs attacked Pearl Harbor early Sunday morning. Those sailors were at the most relaxed time ever on a ship. Terrible!!
