Hey Sandy,up here in the great white north (just north of Toronto) we are down to looking at the grass and very little snow. It's cold, about 20 F and blue sky.I was in my hot tub last night and my drink froze just sitting on the side about 3 inches from the water.

I had a hawk snap up a chunky dove from my back yard today. I saw him fly up into my tallest tree with a huge cloud of feathers floating in the air...

Although Sandy scares such birds of prey off I love them. In the summer I do a fair amount of mowing fields and tilling up some and I can always count on hawks and eagles sitting in the trees nearby waiting for me to scare up a mouse or mole. Here in the Annapolis Valley we have one of the highest concentrations of Bald Eagles anywhere in the world. We also have a lot of Osprey.
