Ok peeps I decided to make a thread that will contain all membership info, nationals show info and nationals race info for the Oldsmobile Club of America. I will also try to answer any OCA related questions the folks of CO may have. So for this first post I will include links to the OCA pages membership application. The OCA has multiple membership options starting as low as $30 per year! Member ship includes a monthly magazine called Journey With Olds that is either mailed to you or viewable online depending on which membership you choose. The link below will get you to our membership information page. You can join through an online application or print/mail in an application. The Meet will be held at the Holiday Inn University Plaza in Bowling Green, Kentucky, from July 16th to the 19th. Our overflow hotels (Courtyard By Marriott & Hilton Garden Inn) are conveniently located directly across the street from the Holiday Inn.
Please note that the hotel reservation process is different this year. OCA discount hotel reservations must be made at the same time that Meet registration occurs and on the same form. The process is first-come, first-served, so you are encouraged to register early. Registration forms must be mailed-in and will be processed starting on Feb. 24th. The registration deadline is June 7th (postmark date).
More information and the Meet registration (and hotel reservation) form is included with the paper February issue of Journey With Olds (JWO). E-members can access the same information and registration form on the OCA website (oldsmobileclub.org) under the Member Resources/Online JWO Library and the Special Events tabs. The paper registration form will also be included with the paper May issue of JWO.
Just sent in my Olds Nationals entry sheet, will be sending the racing entry sheet late next week. As usual I've entered 2 cars with the notion one will not be making it, and it leaves me with time to change my mind if something runs afoul with the 1st choice, which is the 79 H/O this year. I just consider that a $45 donation of extra money to the club, no big deal, I do it every year. The 94 Supreme will be my 2nd choice and that goes to the Senior Class this year. As interesting as it may be to go into a senior class which would be a first for any car I've owned, if I brought the 94 I would not be racing, had a bad enough time of it last year with it running hot.
