Dan, good analysis. In this case the car is obviously a Holiday Coupe. Spot on with the comment on 68/69 cowl tags. The VIN is an accurate way to determine a 442 from 68-71 as they will all start with 344. I think ERIC just did a typo with the 34437. All of his other posts are from 2017 when he was looking in Chicago CL at a 69 442. I guess he must have bought it. Joe P merged his identical threads that time so I guess he might have forgotten how to start a thread??

The vin # [not the cowl tag] is the only way to determine a true 442 from a clonpe . It should start with 344

Nailhead, What do you do with the watches when you finish working on them? I may be a customer

At the risk of being banned from the forum, I must say[after owning one] a 69 H/O isn't the holey grail its spose ta be. Rare yes, fast a little better than my 442 but the side mirrors are totally useless [unless you're a crane] and it's hard to see over the front scoops [ I'm a midget] PLUS [outside this forum] not many people have a clue what it is. I had one, got the tee shirt and really don't want another

Well, got my test results back and my cholesterol is up again. The witch doctor wants to put me back on statins, I hate taking them cause they make my arms ache. Do any of y'all have ant magic elixirs?

Have a great day Olds friends

Good Morning Everybody:
Lucy and I just got back from our morning walk. We are going earlier due to the heat and humidity. The humidity is 85% today and the high is supposed to be in the mid 90's. It is nuts and too hot and muggy to do anything outside. The app on my cell phone is telling me we are walking slightly over 3.1 miles which is a 5K. That is the distance I wanted and now we start working on the time. It is currently averaging about 19 minutes a mile. Lucy really looks forward to her walk every morning and then she sleeps when we get back. I think I might have mentioned that I have a 57 Chevy 210 two door sedan that I am going to start on next year. It is going to be more old school and will not have one of these late model Corvette LS engines in it. It will have a 327 with a Muncie 4-speed. I found a 1968 327 block on ebay and it arrived yesterday. This thing has been tanked and really cleaned. I will store it for the time being as I put together a SBC 307 years ago that my son had taken out of a Nova he had. I had some part laying around and bought a few and think it will run pretty good. It will do while I am working on the body and interior. Most of the parts on it will transfer to the 327. This will be my last car to build.
That is about all for the morning. Going to get a shower now that I have cooled down.
Have a good day my friends
Glenn

ALLAN! Who is this intruder on our beloved forum? A divot on his golf *****! Where is the distinguished Mr. Bell when we need him to screen this nonsense? Glenn, that sounds like a good project. Post some pics when you can.

Good morning everyone,

Sunshine today! But we had a frost on the punkin kind of night. I'm going to wait a bit and give the lawn a haircut this afternoon when it's dry. It's been 3 weeks since it's been dry enough to cut. I need to use the shop vacuum to get all the acorns off the front lawn before I cut it. I'm thinking about leaving some of the acorns on a pot of soil over winter to see if they germinate.

Yesterday I went to the boneyard. There was an 84 Regency Brougham and a 77 Cutlass Salon Coupe. Both were heavily loaded and the cannibals had already gotten to them with their BFH, pry bars and wire cutters. Morons I tell ya. Now what could have been good salvage is rubbish. On the good side I was able to pull some pieces that I want for the Sonata and the Malibu.

Today is the day my Mrs and I said we do 26 years ago. Since the boy has a 14 hour day he won't be able to help us celebrate so we'll probably do a family thing on the weekend. Today we'll do a small luncheon or dinner to suit the occasion.

Dan - I don't know who that guy is. Probably some old short guy who golfs instead of playing with cars

Glenn - I hope that block is coated with oil or fogging agent to keep the humidity off it. Congrats on getting the walks up to 3.1 miles. Right about now I'd be willing to combine our temps, divide by 2 and each one would get the results. Right now here it's a blistering 47°.

Jim - If you don't want to take statins, mebbe adjust yer diet and exercise? An wear platform shoes so ya look taller.

Good Afternoon!
Yes, like Allan said, finally some sunshine and a better temperature! Too bad I was stuck in an office all day long to enjoy it.

Allan, it must be nice to be retired and decide what you are doing that day; -me, I end up coming home exhausted and don't feel like doing much. 10 hours a day is a bit much. Congrats on the Anniversary!

Jamesbo, Ostensibly I'm supposed to fix 'em up and sell them. Well, I can fix 'em, but I haven't been able to sell one yet. That Olds watch is off-limits; I'm going to be wearing that when I get it running again, - sorry! But I do have a large selection of good American made 19th century pocket watches that I might be able to part with. I also have a lot of Wehrmacht issue D----H models, all well loved and recently repatriated from Russia.

Glenn, a 327 and a Muncie is a nice combo for a 57; - it'll be a nice car when done. The only issue with the 327 was they usually had lousy guides, but I imagine you're going to rebuild it regardless. Look forward to seeing pics of the before and after.

So...back to building a watch, I've got a 1936 Kraut-made Bifora that refuses to run and I can't figure out why. I have another cheap Bifora from about 1940 that runs far too fast...Hate it when a plan doesn't come together...but that could be my biggest problem, they were a cheap department store style watch to begin with. I think they were sold through the then-recently Nazified Hertie chain, which still exists today. They sold new for about 22 Reichsmark, - or about 5 American dollars of the day.

Have a great evening Gentlemen!

Congratulations Allan, on your anniversary. Jim, I'm 5'7" (was 5'8" until my last doc. appt.) and installed the hood off of a '70 W30 onto my '70 SX 40 plus years ago. only slightly blocked my vision, but I just loved having those double humps to look over. I can't do long walks anymore, the back just can't handle it. I used to walk to the storage facility to pick up the '71 Supreme that I used to own 5-6 years ago, and it was three miles. I was at my limit then with the back pain starting up. Some of the cars shows can be a "pain", but the cars are worth it. The good is that I can ride my bike several miles with no back pain. Rode about ten miles on Monday.

Mawn'in all

Y'all will be happy to hear I'll be posting a little later fer awhile , Dumped a glass of green ice tea [ with honey of course] on my lap top key board. Soooooooooooo I have to go to the garage office fer my desk top.

Dan, I'm 5"10" but those H/O dual mail boxes are too much for me

Nailhead, Glad you're gonna keep it. What I know about watches wouldn't fill a thimble. All I know is some "Brand names" that used to be good are now junk.

Glenn, Do I get a vote? If "yes" I'd vote 409 with dual quads. A gas guzzling truck engine would be my vote

Have a great day Olds friends

Good morning everyone,

Anutter frost on the grass day here, but the good is that it's clear and cold.but will warm up to around 50° later in the sun. The trash guy ( I call him Juan Valdez) will be a little surprised when he gets here. The normal 1 bag of trash has ballooned to 5 today since we started cleaning out the small garden and flower beds. He'll get some more next week including some hanging baskets.

Got anutter curling (or as Jim calls it - hurling) practice later today. My new "seccond" is Carl and since I don't know him or how he plays I've scheduled some practices so the team can get some ice time and wipe off the summer rust before the leagues start. I'm still feeling a bit stiff from all the yard work yesterday.

Dan - Thank you.I often thought about putting an OAI on my Cutlass but it's the cost factor that drove me away, pardon the pun. I'm a little taller than you - about the same as Jim. Not sure if I would like to lose some of the road view for a hood. The steel one works just fine for me.

Marc - Being retired doesn't always mean I get to decide what I want to do any given day. I will admit it's nice not to have to go out if it's snowing or cold if I don't want to but my schedule only allows that 2 days of the week. Being retired only means my lifestyle has changed from work to ......well, work I choose or activities I like. Thanks for the anniversary wish! After a while though it's just another day. It's nice though that after all this time we don't feel like we want to kill each other

Jim - I don't like laptops myself. I like the ol desktop so much that's what I replaced the old puter with. It took me about an hour to get used to the new 'wave' keyboard but now it sails like a schooner in the wind. The one thing that I like a lot about the new puter, keyboard and printer is they're all wireless so I don't have a mess of cables to bundle up like the old days. All I have now is 3 power cords and Bob's yer uncle.

Mike - ???Where are ya bud???

Good morning everyone.

I'm right here. At work. Though we've done so well this morning we got an hour for lunch. I had again planned on coming in early, and again when the time came I decided, nah, don't want to now. I didn't really feel all that more tired, but it was easy to not get up because I did it yesterday. I need to get into the habit of getting up early, that way it won't be easy to not do it.

Well I guess the DUKW is mine. I sent the guy the money and he received it, so now we just need to wait on the shipper to go pick it up. Should happen this weekend. So when is it actually mine, now because I paid for it, or when it's delivered into my care?

Ah the wheels are coming. See ya.

Good Morning All:
Well, no walk this morning. My heel in my right foot has been talking to me a little bit and this morning it is saying do go walk on me for three miles. Even though I have good shoes with inserts in them it is aching. It is not a sharp pain but a dull ack. Lucy keeps coming to me wondering when we are going. I called the doctors office and got a 2:00 appointment today since they had a cancellation. This is aggravating. Probably some more of this old age BS.
Jim a 409 in a 57 Chey would be awesome. However if I had one I could probably sell it to one of those guys restoring or cloning a 61-64 Impala for enough to restore my whole car. Marc you are correct in the 327 will be rebuilt. It will have a set of the old double hump camel back heads on it and they will be rebuilt and cleaned up. I have two sets. One set is on the 307 I put together from mostly spare parts I had. Many of those parts will be transferred to the 327 since it has large journal main bearings. I have actually had this car for 50 (yes five zero) years. I think it will take two years to finish it so you have to hang around for a while. I will post one or two pictures if I can find them. I just found them and included one of my car on the trailer and one of my parts car in the woods back in Louisiana. It has been several years since I have seen the car. It has probably been sitting there 35 years.
Allan, wasn't Juan Valdez they guy with the donkey and the coffee?
Have a good day everybody.
Glenn

Glenn, as a 57 Chevy owner myself I'd say that's a worthy project. Why have you kept it this long and not done anything with it? Family member's car? One you drove and then put up? Love that color.

So evidently the two leads got into it this morning and as a result, though no one seems to be able to make the connection, we aren't working early tomorrow. Eh, that doesn't break my heart.

Nice and hot out. Wish I had a functional convertible to drive around. Yes I've been known to drive with the top down and the AC on. I've also driven with the top down and the heat on.

No place to go this afternoon, so I'll just putter around. Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

Whatta morning!
I can't complain about the 10:30 traffic on Groat; we sailed on through like it wasn't even a delay. Only a 35 minutes trip doesn't break my heart. What does though is gas here went up last night by 53¢/Gal (or 14.¢/L). That sucks. Fortunately I filled a few Jerry cans about 3 weeks ago when the price was only 1.06/L so I just filled the thirsty Sonata from that reserve. I don't mind hoisting a jerry can when it saves me close to 26¢/L

Glenn - Yes sir, that's the guy. The trash dude is his twin brother - just he drives a big white trash truck instead of a donkey. I'm sorry to hear you have a foot problem; hopefully it's something minor that will be a speedy recovery. In the meantime poor ol Lucy will be so confused when you go to the door and don't take her for a walk. Those 2 door 57's are like finding gold aren't they? Everyone wants an original to work on. Judging by the left side someone went crazy with a sawzall or something. Good thing there's lots of fifty 5/6/7 supplies.

Mike - I think it's yours as soon as the money changes hands. Maybe earlier since you had an agreement to buy and he had accepted it. Way to go on the acquisition of yet another amphibious vehicle. It's so big you could probably put your amphi in it? It's kinda nice to have that option to go home and do whatever you feel like isn't it?

Mike, family and a place and funds have all delayed the restoration of this car. It was given to me by my father-in-law in 1968. he was the second owner and the first was a family friend. Their teenage son drove it a while and put some bumps on it. It was originally a six cylinder with a powerglide. I did manage to convert it to a three speed on the column. It put it in my mother's garage when I went to Viet Nam in 1969 and it remained there till she passed in 1982. In all likelihood it is going to be red when I am done with it. Allan the car in the woods is the parts car and I cut that portion of the quarter out to use on the car being restored. It was rust in that quarter but the trunk and floors are pretty solid. The toe board on the drivers side will need replacing. It still has the original paint so I know what I am working with. The TriFive 2 door sedans are very popular. This one will stay in the family and go to my son when the time comes. I went to the doctor this afternoon (they had a cancellation) and it is probably plantar fasciitis. He prescribed a strong anti inflammatory. Lucy has been pouting all day.

Okay Glenn, help a color blind person out. Is the '57 light blue or the Aquamarine that they had back then?

Good morning everyone,

Hahahahaha, not really. It's been snowing like mad the last couple hours and according to the forecast it will continue for most of the morning. Gonna be a nasty commute for Marc and my son today. People just don't seem to understand the relationship between slippery roads and driving. I think there should be mandatory winter driving classes, but somehow I doubt that would help. Good thing my son has learned patience and good driving habits.

Yesterday I ended up grilling poke kebabs with peppers, onjuns and maters. They were soooo good. Add to that a nice kale salad with poppyseed dressing and sunflower seeds and it was a meal that filled up really quick.

Dan - One of the things I love about your pictures is they are such high resolution. When I click the image and then have the option to enlarge? It's almost like being there myself. Thanks for having the camera from heaven.

Chatted with Adrian this mawin. I always enjoy our conversations. Only thing I have to remember is he's about 14 hours ahead of my time. I have no good idea why I woke up so early (3:07 this mawnin) but I couldn't go back to sleep. So I used Messenger to touch base with a few people and chat briefly. I'll probably go into a coma later this morning. The missus wants to go shopping at the market so I'll have to dig the Sonata out from under its snow blanket first. Good thing I have my winter shoes on it.

Jim - Sorry for the early intervention. So is de supermodel still doing those early morning exermacisze classes?

Chatted with Clint yesterday. Some good and sad info. I wish Clint lived closer, I'd love to be able to go play in his shop.

Glenn - I had to look that up. I think you're going to be ok. Probably happened because of the new walking routine and the way your heel srikes the ground. One thing I read about prevention is to get some really good walking shoes that cushion the heel well. I have no idea if you have a pronation concern but that might also be a contributing factor?

Finally Friday for the working people - Have a good one!

Well, Lucy and I made the full 3.1 miles this morning but my heel was hurting long before I got home. I kept telling myself you have to play hurt sometimes. I have to pickup the anti-inflammatory the doctor prescribed and go get an x-ray this afternoon. Allan, I am wearing a pretty good pair of Adidas running shoes with a heel insert in them. Was thinking yesterday about going to the Southwest Airlines annual car show yesterday and am glad I didn't since it rained yesterday afternoon. It was the third week in a row that Keaton's high school band was unable to perform. I have a couple shows I am going to this weekend. One is close to home and the other one is at the Addison Airport on Sunday at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum and will be in the hanger.
Mike, how some details and a couple pictures of your 57.
That is about it guys. Have a good weekend.

Thanks for the compliment Allan. Not much going on here. Muggy. Temps to drop into the 60's for highs tomorrow. So, the roofer applied for a permit to do my roof, what does the city do? Put a notice on my door that all flashing and boots must be replaced around all of the vent pipes. Uh, well, no ****. Never met a roofer that didn't include that in the installation of a new roof. We have Safe Built, a national neighborhood inspection company that the city hired to save money. They have been the bane of all of us. I have heard complaints since they came on board. They cited two of my former neighbors for having too high of grass. They both keep very nice yards and lawns.

Hi everyone.

Short Friday day today, per usual. I volunteered to go in tomorrow to paint the safety lines on the floor, but today the lead says we won't be painting, we'll be cleaning. I've been duped! But I said I'd come in, so I will. Besides I need to make some money to pay for this truck.

Speaking of the truck, the shipper called and said he has us scheduled for Wednesday. Works for me.

Glenn my 57 is Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige. It's a 4 door sedan. Brown and beige interior. It's got the gold trim and the serial number starts out VC. So it's the "high dollar" car. I only have one picture of it and it's on a different computer. Looks like all the others, really. Very little rust, older repaint looks good. Will run well whenever I get the fuel pump changed.

Dan it sounds like your whole town has turned into a homeowners association. You need to tell that outfit to go pound sand.

Got part of the yard mowed last night before it got dark. Slept good, and Tiger was right beside me all night didn't move. This afternoon I think I'll go to the shop for a little bit, then take Tiger to run some errands and stop off at the Awful house.

Well enjoy the afternoon everyone.

Good Day eveyrone

The commute wasn't as bad as expected this morning; the local highways were just starting to get slushy when I went through. Still, I ended up taking it easy, made it in plenty of time and alive. Didn't see anyone in the ditches, but it wouldn't surprise me when the cell-phone and chronically late crowd headed in things were probably a bit dicier.
Always wanted a 57 something, it seems it was the seminal year for cars. The closest I came was a 57 Mercedes 180a. Not anywhere near as romantic as a 57 Chevy.
Not much going on this weekend, had to fight off a high pressure sales call just now, some idiot company wanted to aerate my lawn. They were convinced that it really needed it and this chick on the line wouldn't take a polite "no thank you".
Me: "Does the fact that it is currently under 1/2 a foot of snow mean anything to you?"
Them: "Oh, I'm sorry, we were not informed of that fact"
Me:, "Yeah, I imagine in Mumbai ice only comes in a glass".
Them: <click>
Anyway; - have a great weekend!

Good morning from Big D everyone.

Man did I sleep good. Went to bed before 6, I was so tired. Tiger again stayed up with me and didn't budge all night. Got up around 10 because he wanted to go out, then slept until the alarm at 2.

Three of us came in this morning to work in our area. The lead was rather late because he got all the way to work and found out he forgot his ID. Can't get in without it. So we just hung around until he got back. We've been sweeping, straightening, wiping down. Don't know when we're getting out, but it will be noon at the latest. I'm sure they don't want to pay me double time to clean.

Marc when the sales people would call to sell windows, siding, what have you, my Dad would tell them we lived in a tent. That got them pretty good.

Might take a power nap. None of the wiseguys came in, of course, so I don't have to worry about anyone zip tying me to the chair, or putting magic marker on my face, or taking a picture of my ID and putting it in the urinals, etc.

Have a good morning everyone.

Saturday - not in the park. Just ask Chicago and they'll vouch for it

My brother sent me a link to a You Tube video about the 'Misheard' Soviet Anthem. I thought it was hilarious. Dare you to watch it and not be amused.

Well it wasn't Aurelio's but I did get some pizza. Papa Johns. It's about the best for carry out pizza around here.

So we took a break for an hour at 7 this morning, then around 10 the lead told us to get lost. Not bad. Hit the Awful house on the way home, then went to the shop and took the back cover off the Deuce. Man does that make it look different.

Tonight is the only night of my weekend I can go to bed late and sleep late, so I think I'll watch a movie. It was The Breakfast Club last week, don't know what to choose this week. Maybe Christine. Haven't seen that in awhile.

Allan that was a stretch. But hey if you like it...

Okay have a good night everyone.

That version of the Russian anthem should get a few of our computers hacked, I'm sure one of their trolls that monitors this site is mortally offended. It is funny though, but that's how I learned the Filipino national anthem when I lived there and went to school there as a kid; - phonetically. Come to think of it, that's how I learned English.
Ended up going for breakfast with the coin guys this morning, and ended up coming home with a huge box of old watch parts. Man, this has got to stop, otherwise that Oldsmobile will never get built. It looks like I'm being slowly goaded into becoming a "professional" watch repair guy. You know you're in too deep when stuff starts finding you, and that's what's happening with the watch thing now. Ended up with a contract to clean and repair a little 1929 Bulova for a buddy's mother. Should be interesting, it's by far the smallest movement I've ever worked with.
Still snowing here...unbelievable. It's a good thing that I already decided to store the Olds for the winter, and now it looks like the Buicks have run out of time too. I was hoping to get at least one more cruise and the Wildcat really needs an oil change and I'm not fixed up to do it at home anymore. So, it waits, hopefully we'll get a week or two in the clear before the snow really sticks.
Anyway...back to the Bulova...
Have a good night everyone!

Good morning everyone.

What a glorious day out. Cool, sunny, not humid. We are two days into fall and it looks the part.

Ended up watching Seinfeld reruns last night. Always a good time. Slept until about 7 then went to the Awful house. It was busy but not crazy.

I think today I'm gonna sort through some of the crap I have in the basement. Most of it isn't even mine. Seems whenever somebody moves they have all this stuff they don't want, but don't want to get rid of it, so they give it to me.

Early night tonight, planning on the early OT in the morning. Word has it I'm going to be doing something different this week, some sort of paperwork. Eh, it all pays the same.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone,

Still a lot of snow on the ground waiting for the warm weather to melt it off. Woke up to freezing temps this morning. This just doesn't feel right. Oh well, by this afternoon it's spoda get up to around 50° so we might grill some smokies for dinner.

Other than that there's not a lot going on. Might have to take the missus out shopping later.

Just curious Marc, when you say that's how you learned English - what language did you originally speak?

Good Morning Guys:

I have been off here for a couple days so I decided I better get back. I just got back from attempting to go to a car show. This was the week I was going to do three car shows. They have all been rained out. The first was Thursday and then one yesterday and the last one today. I had already pre-registered and paid my $20 for the one today. The car was in the garage with the top down from the shoe last weekend. I got up and ate and got dressed and it was not raining here but very overcast. I went about five miles and could see the rain up in front of me and was just getting into the edge of it. I just made a U-turn and came home. I really wanted to make this show today but not happening. We have had some serious rain here. We had flash floods Friday night and some areas had over 10 inches. There were lots of streets closed and homes flooded. It was supposed to be the biggest rainfall since 1932. The lake behind the house is back to normal.
Marc, there used to be a museum in Branson, Missouri that was called 57 Heaven. They reportedly had one of every American car manufactured in 1957. I don't mean one 57 Chevy and one 57 Ford. They reportedly had one of every model made that year although I find that had to believe. They closed in 2009 and I never got to see it. Everything was auctioned off. There were some incredible cars and other stuff there. Here is a link.
/page1Mike, I remember you previously telling me about your 57. I guess my old age flairs up occasionally.
Allan, it was 68 degrees when I got up this morning and is only supposed to be in the low 70's today. Crazy weather we re having.
I am still nursing this heel. It is a lot better than yesterday so I guess I have enough of the meds in my system that they are starting to work. Have a good day everybody.

You guys may remember in 2007 the 57 Plymouth that was unearthed as a time capsule in Tulsa, OK. I went to it. The city and the Tulsarama committee put on this big shin dig leading up to the car's unearthing. Inquisitive(and pretty smart) minds decided to take a peak a few days before the big day, and found the vault half filled with water. So they pumped it all out. The day of the big event the car came out a mess. You could see the different water level lines on the sides of the vault.

Anyway, this was a contest in 1957 that whoever guessed the population of Tulsa 50 years later won the car. A guy from I don't remember where was passing through and bought a ticket and made a guess. He ended up winning, although he died in 1978. His spinster sisters were the heirs. So there was a big car show at the convention center and the "new" Plymouth was center stage, next to a car that was its twin, but of course fully restored and beautiful. That car was brought in by 57 Heaven. The guy that owned 57 Heaven tried his best to get the sisters to sell the car to him, offering up to $300,000 but some snake oil salesman got to them first and talked them into shipping it to New Jersey and this guy's magic elixir would make the car new again. That, of course, didn't happen and the car last I heard was in a state of limbo, Tulsa didn't want it back, no one wanted to buy it, and the guy with the snake oil was tired of spending money on it and storing it. No telling what happened to the sisters. I've probably told that story before. I don't remember why 57 Heaven closed, it looked like a cool place.

So I'm done working in the basement. I didn't throw anything away, but a couple things got repurposed and stuff got rearranged. Did some cleaning and now it's a little more tolerable down there. I might go to Walmart early and then wash the dogmobile after 4. But now, break time.

Good Day Everyone!
It's finally looking a bit better out there, the sun is shining and the snow is melting. The cat was raring to get outside, and then she was back in because her feet got wet; - big baby!
Haven't really got up to much today, severe lack of any kind of motivation. I did manage to build a see-through engine kit with my son this morning, used it as a teaching moment. It's not the old V-8 kit we had when we were kids, it's a modern 4 banger with an OHC. It was fun to put together. Now the kid is wearing out the batteries running it. Perfect; mission accomplished.

Allan, my first language was German. I'm a "bleedin' Squarehead". The only time my accent comes back is when I've had a few too many wobbly-pops.

Glenn, that "57 Heaven" sounds like it was a cool place. It kind of reminds of a car museum we went to fairly recently in Washington last year, Le Mays just outside of Seattle. The only real car museum we have up here is one in Wetaskiwin, and it doesn't really hold a candle to anything I've seen stateside. The cars they have on display are OK, but the stuff they have in the warehouse where they don't let the public into is the real fascinating stuff. We were there last week and did manage to get a ride in a 1940 Waco. Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame is there.

Mike, cool story. I wondered what happened to that car or what was left of it. Last I heard was they were having trouble securing it and preventing it from splitting in half. They should have shoved an Amphicar in there instead.

Well, that's about it; I might have to go for a nap...
