The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
I know I'm a noob still, but I will say out of all the forums I belong to, this one has some of the lamest thin-skinned teenage girl drama posts. The thread you guys are referring to is just another of many I have read on here where I'm simply dumbfounded. Most of the others I have read are in or have been moved to the non-olds powered forum. I'm with you Jamesbo, I just shake my head. And from what I can tell it seems to be a common theme to have issues on an Olds Board. (ROP, etc)
Thats why I keep my head up and post in only a certain amount of threads.
Mike I hope your head straightens out. Glad you like your Chebby. I am workin on Bandimere Speedways Duramax right now and I sure like how it runs compared to mine. He's got a Banks Exhaust, Cold air intake and an Edge Attitude Programmer. Mines stock with a light tune. I'm gonna have to see what kind of mileage he's getting.
Paul come back when you can stay a while
Allan... dorck? Really? Is that the Canuck spelling? I would figgur you would have spelled it like this dourk. hahahahaha. Sorry, that tickled my funny bone.
Ken, We are getting started with Litlle league, but the Pros don't start til next month I don't think. We always sleep in the basement, the temps are so much better summer and winter. This morning tho around 3:30, I was a little concerned about what ever it was that thought it wanted in the open window on my side of the bed. I assume it was a fox, but I didn't get a look at it. Our 'hood is starting to get overrun with them.
Have a great humpday all.

Morning All!
Another cool morning in the 60's, heading to the 80's. Supposed to get up in the high 80's starting tomorrow. Looks like they're talking storms this weekend.
Figures. I'm well enough to go to shows, have one planned Saturday and one on Sunday.
So it better not friggin rain!!! I've loved this hot dry summer, myself!
Clint..... we had a friggin coon out in the breezeway last night. My cat jumped up on the window sill and started yowling, so I opened the kitchen door, and sure enough there's the coon eating the cat food! It ran out into the yard and started eating some bread I had thrown out for the birds. It just sat there looking at me and eating. Wasn't a bit scared. I was yelling at it, lol. That scares me! Larry had already gone to bed or I'd have had him shoot the damned thing.
Jamesbo... I'm getting lots of cherry maters now. My pepper plants aren't getting any sun - that big mater plant that's as tall as me is drowning everything out! I had no idea the thing would grow like it has! I've never seen anything like it, lol.
We go meet with the financial lady tonight at that college for Nicole. I sure hope she can get some loans, but I ain't gonna hold my breath. We'll see.
Another quiet day in here. Yesterday was sooooo long and boring.
Sure hope things pick up.
As for some of the threads that get posted on the site... sometimes ya just got to 'let it go' and walk away. Everyone has good days and bad days, everyone's opinion is important to themselves, and there are those that will try to shove their opinions down everyone's throats, lol. Just let it go.... it's much easier that way. Ignore it and pay no attention! Some people are just down right rude.... breathe!!
Well you all have a great day!!

Mawnin All,
Beautiful mawnin today wit a hi coming towards 90°. Already watered de stuff dat needed waterin. Might be a good day to sit in de chaise lounge with a water sprinkler misting over me... Course if I duz that I will rust, not tan

Jamesbo - Sorry bout dat. I kinda felt da same way and wuz shocked at what happened. Normally I'm a pretty laid back guy and don't mind readin between de lines or lettin folks jes say stuff. Dis is de first time I ever got that vocal in a reply to a member who I usta have a lotta respect fer.
Clint - yup. it's spelled in Canuckish. (if that's even a word). Dorck was a more civil way of spelling what you know it to be....glad you had a giggle about it though.
Mike - 8 tylenol a day?? Man you should see a Dr. (not one like Sandy's) It sounds like you got something serious going on there. Maybe stay in the cool for a while and see if that helps?
Sandy - ya need a night scope for shooting them raccoons at night? Yeah, I know all about the posting thing. Trying to be diplomatic sometimes doesn't work. I can walk away from anything that's said, but it leaves a bad feeling that takes some time to go away. Know what I mean? Breath in, breath out, breath in ..... see, it's working
Well, the boy is 'finally' up and showered. He wants to spend the day at a buddies place. It's about 15 miles away so I'm making him drive.

Clint, I once thought I'd teach a black cat a lesson for scraping at my screen door. When it turned around I opened the screen ever so quietly and was about to grab its tail and scream,
when I noticed a long white stripe down the middle of its back.
I never did grab or scream at that "cat". I just closed the screen and inside door.
Three kids a couple of years older than Josh, my youngest (football) son went to play with Team Canada in the Under 19 Football championship in Austin, TX. One boy graduated the same high school that Josh is going to in Sept.
There were teams from the USA,Australia, American Samoa, Austria, Sweden, and I thought our type of "football" was only popular in North America. Football in Europe and the rest of the world is known as Soccer over here.
We had to play by American rules (shorter field, four downs, longer huddle times, smaller *****..
..FOOT*****) but we made it to the gold medal game vs. the USA
.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXjAv...eature=related in a squeeker.Hopefully, if he keeps playing and does well, he'll have a chance to travel and play others in a tournament such as this.
Afternoon everyone.
Ken Happy Birthday to the boy. Hope it's a good one.
I've been waiting around all day for a call back from the nurse. She called me this morning and left a message, and now I can't get ahold of her. I'm going to go into the office and see her. She said it was urgent, must not be too urgent. She's wasted my whole day. I know I'm not the only patient they have, but geez have some courtesy. This office is good at not returning calls. Good thing I'm not bleeding to death.
Sandy I hope you have good luck at the financial aid office.
Allan I didn't take 8 Tylenol all at once, it was two every four hours. Hey you guys remember the Tylenol murders in Chicago in the 80s? We had a teacher at our high school that fit the description of who they were looking for, and the police came and took him out of the classroom to question him.
Okay going to the doctors office. Might take the new black truck. The black truck needs a name. Any ideas?

Welp!
Just got back from getting lost in West Edmonton. We have a great bypass route (Anthony Henday Drive) that doesn't even show up yet on the GPS. Kinda looks neat when it shows the car driving through a field.
It kept wanting me to go the 'long' way through the middle of the city. I wanted to get back on the Eastbound lanes of the Henday. Finally saw a sign that said Henday East so I took it. Should have taken the Henday West. Got stuck in construction delay that was backed up about 3 miles - 1 lane instead of 3. You know the drill.....
Finally got turned around at the next overpass and 22 minutes later pulled into the drive.
Ken - Hahahahah black & white cat.... Cats look a lot different than Peppy. Just be glad it didn't want to rub up against your leg. Far as being an ambassador? I don't hold any claim to the title. Just prefer to get along nicely with folks, that's all. Takes more energy and facial muscles to frown than laugh!
Mike - post a pic of your new black monster and we can start a naming contest. Anything special about the truck, or quirks that might help with it? I never really thought about naming my cars. It's usually The Saturn (notice I didn't say High Saturn), The Sonata, The Silver Car (my 72).
I know you wouldn't take all 8 at once. I was just concerned that after 8 you weren't feeling any better. Headaches that don't go away are sometimes a symptom of something more serious. Hope you find an answer at the Dr. office. I hate it when they don't return calls too. I'm gonna change my Dr. The one I am seeing right now seems to be on flex time. He shows up when he wants and double books appts so people have to wait anywhere up to 3 hours. Course, in the heat waiting for 3 hours in an air conditioned sitting room doesn't sound bad. But it's boring.....
Clint - Hope what was said doesn't affect how you see me on this thread. I try to stay away from volatile situations, but don't believe in bullying. Never have..never will. If I ever see it happening, I will always raise a voice to defend the person being bullied.
BTW, for some reason I just tweaked onto the link for your 67. Had a look through the whole album. That's more than just gorgeous, makes me want one just like it. I learned to drive on a 67 Cutlass Sedan. Still have fond memories. Wish I knew then what I know now....

Thanks Mike. If the truck sucks gas, call it "Blackula"

Good morning friends.
Shaping up to be a beautiful day.
Ken, we had that 'cat stop by a few weeks ago. I think the missus' snoring scared it and it gave a high pitched squeal and shot a blast right in front of the window.
It was awful and took more than a week to get the smell out of the basement.
Mike how about Herkemer?
Sandy, Sounds like you need to start skinnin 'em and makin some Davy Crockett caps to sell at the car shows.
Allan, No sir, you are still alright in my book. My post wasn't referring to your posts, but rather the short sighted poo slinging at the beginning of the thread. I don't know much about Hairy or Bob or Kurt. I do know they seem to have a lot of knowledge as do many others here on the site. It looks like my post was misconstrued as well. A big problem on the intraweb. I've made an azz of myself a time or 2 be it because of a bad day or what-ever, but I can usually admit it was a dumb post when that happens. I just hope that if all involved ever end up in the same place, that a a few bits of data somewhere in cyberspace won't discourage them to discuss and enjoy good conversation about the passion that brings us all here.
Thanks for the kind words about my car. Those pics make it look as shiny as a new penny. Luckily it doesn't show off all the flaws she has. She is a nice #3 car but if you put her in the #2 category she would probably come in at the back of the pack. That is why I was ok with putting an OD in her and getting her ready to be a cross country vacation car. I don't think I'd do that with a car that has real potential of being a show only trailer queen.
Have a great Thursday all, and remember 'Don't sweat the petty stuff and the other way around'

Morning All!
Another beautiful morning here. Temps in the 60's but heading up towards 90 later with a chance of storms. Supposed to be a 50% chance on Saturday now, and a 30% chance on Sunday.
I don't want any rain this weekend......
Didn't get home last evening until after 9:00. We stopped to eat when we were done at the college. My God, the forms involved with financial crap...... Nicole is eligible for a $5500 'subsidized' loan, which means it starts accruing interest when she starts the class, and she has to pay for it when she graduates. She wasn't eligible for any Pell loans or loans where the government paid the interest... Our 'fair share' is $7500.00!!! So we have to make 10 payments of $750 a month.
I'm sooooo worried that with this friggin kidney problem now, that I'm gonna end up off work with no pay for God only knows how long, and I don't know how we'll make the payment. I can just tell that this thing is gonna bother me forever.
I go see Dr. Wonderful tomorrow......
I was looking at the medical bills yesterday online.... today is 1 month since I had that first surgery..... I'm up to over $30,000.00 now!!!!! Him putting this stent in me was $14,000.00! Oh God, it's sooooo scary.
The last trip to the ER at Ahuja was $8,000.00. They didn't have the most recent ER visit posted yet.
I got a letter from the insurance company saying "they approved the ambulance ride" over to Ahuja from the ER here in Twinsburg, when I went, but "that doesn't mean it will be paid in full". Of course not. I'm just glad someone called the insurance co. and got the approval for me to be transported by ambulance. That was the last thing on my mind at the time, lol. Who is thinking about calling their insurance company when they're laying there dying, lol???
I sure wasn't. Oh well...... this too shall pass. I hope.
I brought in some little maters for Clay this morning. I have tons of green ones, but they're taking their time turning red. I dunno. They sure taste good!
Well it's gonna be another long boring day in here. I'm heading to Bellacino's tonight if it doesn't rain. Saw a cruise in at the A&W in Ravenna last night.
Well you all have a great day!

Morning. Really big thunderstorm at about 1:30 AM. Poor dog was pacing didn't know what he wanted. Brought him in the room and kept petting him...now I'm pretty tired....
Well, I'll sleep when I'm dead, or on the weekend, whichever comes first.
Clint, I was lucky. That "cat" didn't spook and left me and the house untouched.
I was renovating at the time.
Have a good day everyone. Should be 29C today, but it seems I'm getting use to it.

Good Mawnin All
It's a bit overcast this morning with a chance of more wet stuff later on this afternoon. Temps are lower as well with the highs only getting up in the lower 90's
Sandy I sure hope everything is fine and the doc has some good news for you.
Jamesbo I didn't mean for you to be stuck in the middle of all of this ruckus. I merely wanted your opinion on the situation and maybe a little insight as to your take. I too am sorry for that. As far as what I posted I have no remorse, as I have always spoke my mind and being hard headed as I am, I will always speak my mind.

Well yall have a great Thursday

Good morning everyone!
No rain as of yet here, but it is overcast and quite nice out.
So last night I'm driving to work, and my doctor calls me. Says how are you feeling? I said fine but my foot is all swollen and it hurts. Oh, he says, you need to go to the emergency room I don't know what that is. So I call work and tell them I won't be there and go to the hospital. This is about 9pm. I got home around 330am. Plenty of pokes and prods later. Boy you see all kinds in the emergency room in the middle of the night. I hope everything worked out for everybody.
So the doctor that saw me last night wants me off work the rest of the week. The whole week I said? That uses up too much of my vacation time. Oh too bad your foot needs to rest and you can't be on it. Great.
Sandy that's a big chunk but I'm glad you weren't stuck with it all. I don't know how they figure who owes what, but I think someone destitute would get handed a bill for something.
Well gonna run real quick and get my prescriptions filled and then come home for a week of boredom. Maybe I'll post here every hour.
Have a good day everyone!

That's what I was gonna ask, lol!
I thought you had a fever and a headache, Mike?? What'd ya do to your foot?? I know how it is to be poked, jabbed, and prodded, lol.
I sure hope your problem doesn't turn into a nightmare like mine has! You do see the most amazing things in an ER, don't ya?
How's them Gawja peaches coming along Scot, lol??

Man I don't know what happened! I went to bed Monday night with my chills, and then Tuesday morning my foot had swollen and turned red. I didn't think much of it, I thought it was probably all related. Then when the nurse called and said my white blood count was 21000, which is evidently alarmingly high, I told her about my foot. Then when the doctor called me last night, I told him and he said get to the ER. Heck, I was on my way to work.
Anyway today I feel fine and the foot looks better. It scared me a little because the infection showed up so quickly and spread fairly fast. I'm thinking taking 4 impromptu days off is better than ending up missing a leg. You know I feel kind of bad now, I slammed the office for not calling and here the doctor calls me himself at 830 at night.
I think the problem is I haven't been to the Awful house. Might have to stop in after I get my medicine.

Good day eh?
Well, like Ken says we had a doozy of a light show and rain this mawnin. Ken, it literally poured cats n dogs. Lasted up in our neighborhood for about an hour. Ground was good and soaked.
Mike - Yikes! swollen foot could be some kind of blood poisoning? Tends to pool in extremities. Gosh I hope I'm wrong and you find out fast what it is? You don't get gout do you? You step on anything barefoot in de yard?
Jamesbo - What can I say, other than 'sorry'? I think Scot and I will be curious to see what happens. Sure not trying to make extra work for you. IMHO, I don't think we're bad guys. I have the utmost respect for most all members of this site.
Sandy - Are you kidding me?? 14K for a stent? I'm so grateful for the medical coverage I have up here. 750.00 / mo for college is like having to make 2 mortgage payments a month! I sure hope it all works out for you. Med bills and college at the same time? Don't start drinkin' girl, you can't afford it!
Clint - THAT is a 3?? It looks like a 1 in those photos. Tell you what. In my mind it's still a number 1 even with the 200R4. I was thinking about putting one of those in my 72 some time. Just that the th350 is still doing a great job and not leaking all over the floor. Now the engine on the other hand.... no band aid is gonna fix some of them drips.
Scot - what's this thing with GA peaches?? I know you can't send em across the border here. Are GA peaches somehow just a bit better (juicier and sweeter?) I dunno, I can't remember trying them when I lived in OH.

I go see Dr. Wonderful tomorrow......I was looking at the medical bills yesterday online.... today is 1 month since I had that first surgery.....
I hope.I'm not sure how your new healthcare plan works but if it's anything like ours you won't have any medical bills ever
. I've heard Americans comment about system as "Socialist". In a socialist healthcare system, the government tells you what doctor to see. When the doctor prescribes a treatment, the government asks if there is something cheaper that the doctor can do.The Canadian system is pretty much like the American system except we never receive a bill. We pick our doctors and the doctors never discuss our treatment with anyone outside the healthcare system. The doctor will only submit the expense to the government and they pay him. There are "watchdogs" in place to see that he's not submitting claims for people he did not see. I can't remember the last time I ever heard of a doctor being charged with fraud for something like this. Even a homeless man on the street has full healthcare and like the rest of us, will never have to pay or see a bill. I broke my leg playing baseball when I was 20. Had to have an operation and stay in hospital 1 week. Never saw a bill. For a 20 year old it would have been devastating to have to pay for that.
That sounds like a huge expense for one month Sandy, I hope your insurance is unlimited.
Hey, Y'all...
Gotta give my best Southern accent after my Gawja sojourn.... James, sorry we didn't meet up; I figgered you wuz bizzy wit da' kid and had a lot to keep you out of mischief during the week; I know last week was a blur for us. Let's keep sumpin' on the back burner. Hope the tootsies are healin' up... that'll learn ya' to keeps 'em inside. (Right?
)
And Mike, I'm glad your foot seems to be on the mend.
The better half's Uncle Bob's 86th bithday was the 4th of July, so for HIS birthday he and his better half invited US to THEIR place for a fabulous brunch... now that's the kind of in-laws I like!
Here's a pic of me & Daria w Uncle Bob and Aunt MariClare, along with her copper collection in the background, in their dining room in Hayesville, NC. A good time was had by all, and I don't know if I've eaten more since the trip to Dillard House last year.
And that date on the pic is wrong... my poor 10-yr-old digital camera burped and lost da' date.
Scot, my belated condolences. I've had the priviledge of growing up next door to my paternal grandparents, and knowing my maternal grandmother very well. It's invaluable to have that experience. I'm sorry for your loss, but it sounds like a "full life" is almost an understatement.
Well, I'll try to check in more oftener, as they say; it took me 3 days to catch up wit' the last 2 weeks of posts
....
Ketchup later, Oldsmofolks....

Ken.... I have to pay $3500.00 out of pocket and then my insurance is supposed to pay 100% of 'covered charges'. As of now, the bills I'm getting are the 'they paid 80%, I pay 20%' ones. 20% adds up pretty damned fast, lol. But I also had to meet my $1500.00 yearly deductible before they started paying their 80%. I met that with the MRI on my jaw in April. So I'm paying that hospital $100 per month for that, until their bill is paid off, in 17 months, lol.
I'm not sure what the cap on our insurance is that they will pay, but it's over a million dollars I'm pretty sure. I also pay $180 a month for my insurance out of my paychecks. Doctor visits cost me $20, specialists cost $40, Urgent care facilities cost $75, and the ER costs $150. I can see any doctor I want to, as long as they are within United Healthcare's network. If I go out of network, they pay less, I pay more! With this 'new' friggin health care law passed, I don't know what's gonna be involved with that, but we're gonna be taxed somehow. I hear the IRS is hiring like 1,000 new people....
.....GA peaches are ready so I should be able to put you a package together soon Sandy

Oh I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm goin to Bellacino's tonight and de-stressing!

Morning All!
It's a little cloudy here this morning. We have rain chances they're saying. I'm still hoping for a dry weekend, but it ain't a lookin good.
Went to Bellacino's last evening. Got lightly sprinkled on on the way there. It clouded up real bad, wind picked up and there was thunder in the distance. I left a little after 7. Didn't want to get caught in a storm. There weren't too many cars there when I got there, and people were leaving early. It was nice to be out for awhile though.
I didn't take any pics. That real old guy with the Starfire was there. He parked by my friend Ron's Cutlass S. Ron said "that guy sure is arrogant". I said yes he is. He loves to tell how many trophies he's won and such, while picking apart someone elses car. Ron said the guy almost backed over him, as he was sitting in his chair by his car. He said "I didn't move, either, and he finally pulled out and backed in a little better", lol. I didn't take any pics.
Steve is off today. I'm sure Brian will whine when I say I have to leave for my doctor's appt. I'm not saying anything to him other than I have to go to the doctor. Send me rude texts........ a$$!!!!
Ain't none of his business what I have going on. He'll just turn it around to fit whatever he thinks anyhow. I really don't want to hear his diagnosis of me, since he's not a friggin doctor.
I picked a few more cherry maters last night.
God I love the way the tomato plants smell!
I touch them and just sniff, lol. I know - I'm weird like that, lol. But it's such a nice smell.... I watered stuff last evening. We never did get any rain out of all those ugly clouds.
Well you all have a great Friday the 13th! Mike..... hope your foot is doing better!!

Wow! Well all I can say is "Sandy, don't get sick!"
Pretty hazzy here this morning. They are saying it's from wild fires burning in Siberia. One more week until our all Oldsmobile show in Olds, Alberta and we have over 50 pre-registered cars coming. From the west they are coming from Vancouver Island (900 miles) and from the east Winnipeg (800 miles), and that's just the ones that prepaid.
It is slowly cooling off. Should be about 28C (high 80'sF). I was actually getting use to it, however I like 75F max.
Well, have a great Friday. Talk to you later.

Well I just got back from seeing Dr. Banks. He is going to take the stent out on Aug. 10th. So I don't have to have the ultrasound that day. Gotta cancel that appt. He will take it out there in his office.
*ouch* I asked him what happens if the tube closes up again - which I have faith that it WON'T- and he said well if I get the pain again, he'll have to put in another stent until we can figure out what to do. I told him I will not end up with a tube in my back draining the kidney into a pouch for the rest of my life, lol. He said that is not an option. I said no it's not!!!! He didn't poke, prod or pound on my back this time. He said I told him I feel good, so no need to.
I asked him about stuff growing around the stent while it's in there, and he said it's unlikely. I'll be that exception though, lol.
It got hot outside. It's 86 and getting muggy out there. Kind of clouding up alittle.

Hey everyone!
Beautiful here today, not quite 90. Hope it holds out.
The foot is doing better today. Swelling has gone down, still have to stay off it or it starts to throb. I get pretty bored watching TV. In a minute though I have to run to the post office. That will be it for the day.
Jamesbo we don't hear about your foot anymore. Was it just a one day injury? There was a guy at work one time that dangled his foot off the side while driving a lift bed. They are foward control vehicles, and his foot got caught under the front wheel and it pulled him right out of the seat and ran over him. Messed his foot and leg up pretty bad. By the way if you ask me grits aren't good for anything. I am going to try patching the driveway with them.
My computer has been acting up more than usual lately, and I still don't have a replacement in mind. So I need to go to the library to do some things, but don't ya know the library is close Friday-Saturday-Sunday. They say it's because they are open to 8 in the evening. Heck they don't open till noon. Evidently the grossly underworked employees are a group of Prima donas. They should try my schedule some time. Maybe I'll look up the address of the president of the library board and go use his computer.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good day fellow Oldsmobile Hosers!
That's like Canuck for 'Hows it goin, eh?" Last night I grilled some more T bones. Just the wife and me this time seeing how the boy stayed over at his buds. I had these marinating for 2 days. When the Mrs. got home at 9:30 everything was done to perfection: Grilled Tbone - med rare (slurp, drool) veggies and nice crisp tossed salad. We could only eat 1 steak between the 2 of us, so I gave her the tender part (whatever thats called - it was about 5 oz). Trimmed out the leftover one and put it away for Graeme when he gets home later today. Wierd, but we really missed having him home last night. I have a funny feeling we're going to have some serious separation anxieties when he leaves the nest. We share very close family bonds.
Well I took the Sonata back to Kal Tire. Turns out the tires were starting to separate. So I got warranty from them on the rear 2. I have NEVER been to a shop that is that clean and professionally staffed. Seems like all the techs were fresh out of trade school, working on or having their ticket. All uniformed and wearing their safety gear. I personally thanked the tech for working on my car and shook his hand. He smiled and said (no crap) "It was my pleasure sir". What a nice change from some of the shops I've visited in the past.
So now I have 2 brand new tires. Had to pay pro-rated tread wear and the usual shop charges. But now I get free rotation, lifetime balancing, free flat repairs etc for as long as I own the tires. Plus, every 8-10K km all I have to do is swing by and they will rotate tires while I wait so they can record the service performed in case of another warranty claim. Oh yeah, they also torqued by hand, washed the outside of the wheel/tires and washed the front/back windshield. I will go back to these guys any time, and recommend them for their service.
Mike - glad to hear you're feeling better. I gotta go mail some parts to a guy in Ont. Strange our P.O. charges more for packages internally than some I send to the USA. Library only open 4 days a week? Up here they are open every day. Usually from 9:00 to 9:00. Sundays only from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Yup I think you're right about the prima donnas in yer area.
Clint - Give Britteny a pat on the quarter panel for me!!
Sandy - so if he takes out the stent and has to put it back again? Is that another 14large?? What happens if they just leave it in? Is there a downside? I'm not familiar with stents as you can see. From what I know about my buddy Ted having a stent put in one of his heart veins, I thought they were a permanent addition to keep an artery or whatnot open/flowing.
My neighbor across the street just got A/C installed in his house. I'm jealous. I got the installers business card when I was talking to him. He said prolly around 3500 for what I need. I seriously thinking bout it. I know that with A/C in the car I feel very comfy. Would never buy another car without A/C. Any of you got any recommendation for A/C or any warnings about what to watch for?
Ken - 8 days and counting. Gonna bring extra batteries for my camera! According to the weather network, forecast is sunny and 23°
Well, gotta go outside and breathe that smoky air again. Really not that nice with that haze. Looks like air pollution around LA

Looks like air pollution around LA
.....Sandy - so if he takes out the stent and has to put it back again? Is that another 14large?? What happens if they just leave it in? Is there a downside? I'm not familiar with stents as you can see. From what I know about my buddy Ted having a stent put in one of his heart veins, I thought they were a permanent addition to keep an artery or whatnot open/flowing.
Allan R... $$$Cha Ching!
Yep. It would be another surgery, another charge to me.
They can't leave the stent in. The urether tube is not like a heart artery. Stents that go in the heart are usually a metal mesh. These urinary ones are plastic, and from what I understand, the urine is very salty and nasty and would eat away at these plastic stents. The longest they can be in is a year, I think I read somewhere. I just hope to get this friggin thing all straightened up before the end of the year.... otherwise, my insurance starts new again Jan. 1st, and I have to start all over meeting the deductible, paying the out of pocket expenses, etc....
I have faith that the tube is gonna stay open after having this thing in there for 6 weeks. Keep praying that it does!!
I already told him that if it closes again, we're just gonna have to sew the damned thing shut and rearrange everything over to the left kidney and let it take over, lol.

Sandy - I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I could say it didn't suck, but it does. You hang in there. Is having the stent removed part of the original surgery charge?? Hope they're not double dipping - $$$ in, $$$ out?? You got my prayers that it stays good for life! OK?? Darn tootin

Just got a call from lovely downtown Afganistan. Seems like the bad guys now are targeting school buses filled with kids. Shot up and killed the teacher killed and wounded a bunch of kids from 4 to 11.
No real sure WTF these kids did wrong. Maybe they were headed to the wrong kind of school,
Bet cha ya don't see this one on CNN but.......................... [sorry about to get too political]

Afternoon All!
Its cloudy and overcast here today. Temps in the 80's and its breezy. I'm over at the Broadview Hts show. Didn't know if the weather was going to cooperate or not but so far so good!
I cant hardly see the screen on this kindle so excuse any mistakes.
Lots of nice cars here. I walked and took pics. Participant voting... I did remind the mayor that I sat beside him here last year and he was winning a lot lol. Maybe he will give me mayors pick.
The burnout contest is going on now but I'm not walking all the way up there to take pics. I bought $20 worth of raffle tickets and put them in the various buckets for the prizes. The basket from Summit Racing has the most tickets in its bucket lol. Everyone wants to win that prize.
Scot.... hope all is ok! Go ahead and complain... lord knows I do my share lol.
. We will listen - that's what we do. We love ya!
Well will get on later from home. Have a good day.

Happy Saturday to y'all
Shaping up to be a gorgeous day. Started off the morning with about 68° and projected high around 80. Also might be some cow showing up later this afternoon/tomorrow.
We've been getting a lot of smoke from fires. Air quality is less than desirable so if the rain shows up it might scrub clean a bit of that.
Jamesbo - mmmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmmm. Dat sounds wunnerful. Beef Pot Pie is one of my fav's.
So is Shepherds Pie.
An I wouldn't ruin yer recipe wit adding hell a pee nyos. BTW, last night Graeme and I went to Mucho Burrito and bought some honkin big burritos for supper. His has pulled poke (prolly wutchu call BBQ poke?) an stuff, I got pulled bif wit hell a pee nyos in mine. Got de wife a BBQ poke wit gwak a mole ee and such. She loves dat. Jeepers, dis is makin me hongry.....
I'm gonna stay out of de political dixkushon bout the Afgan thing.
I agrees wit chu doh.
Dan - take some pics and post em?
Scot - complainin? Whutchu been complainin on? You know who to call? Complaint Busters!
Y'all know we don't see ya as a complainer - yer a do-er. IMO ya gives to this site more than most who might complain about stuff....
Oh, just about forgot. De hometown football team gave a lickin to the visitin Blue Bombers last night. The big winner IMO was the food bank. It was nice to see de hometown win so handily, but every time a QB gets sacked de hometown foodbank gets de QB's weight in food donated to de food bank.
17 days and counting (sounds like de voice from James Bond movies....)

Evening All!
Well Teepo and I both won at the show today, lol. I won a nice "spa" basket with different bath soaps, lotions and such, in the raffle.
I haven't unwrapped it yet to see what all is in it, lol. And Teepo got a nice Top 20 plaque!
There were 110 cars there, I think I heard them say. So I was pleased. She gets so many compliments.
No rain fell, even though they said we'd have scattered storms. Sun was out on and off. It's humid as heck though. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same, and I hope they miss on that too. I have the Walton Hills show tomorrow. I got Best GM there last year.
Did a little too much walking at the show and had alot of twinges and discomfort down in the abdomen area above the pelvic bone, where that God awful pain hits me.
The doc said that's where the ureter tube meets the bladder. Well that's where it always hurts since he did that first surgery. I sure hope I'll be ok.... I ran the sweeper when I got home and did my laundry. Washed the kitchen throw rugs too. Then took a nice bath and soaked in the tub. Felt alot better.
Got 2 more bills today from June 12th, the first surgery. I have to pay $548 on the one, and the other one is $240. So I guess I'll be calling on Monday to make arrangements to make monthly payments. My insurance picked up the rest of those 2 bills. I just sent out $89 and $26 on 2 other bills today. The little ones, I can pay right away. At least right now I can, lol.
Larry grilled our usual Saturday steaks and taters when he got home. They were good.
I'm trying to put the pics on Photobucket now so I can post them, and it's taking it's good old sweet time, lol. Well you all have a great evening.

Hey everyone!
What a long, boring day doing nothing. I watched a lot of dull TV. I did however go get Arbys for our supper. That's the dogs' favorite treat.
We got some rain this afternoon while the sun was still out, and then this evening got some thunder but no rain with it. Odd.
Sandy good show at the show. Hope your bills don't roll in all at once. Maybe you should take the medical bills to the financial aid office.
This is the first chance I've had all day to get on the website. Up until now all I'd get from my machine was, Explorer can't load this website. Tomorrow after Awful house I'm going computer shopping and then sending the library another nasty-gram.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
