I've never gripped a club shaft w/ an air compressor - always used double-sided tape for irons & I've re-gripped irons for years; but, I've never re-gripped woods (3-wood & driver). I'm low on the learning curve on this one. This JumboMax grip is far more rigid than any GolfPride or Winn grip I've worked with; yet, I haven't worked with the many various types of grips especially for woods. Lots to learn.
Ya know, I was looking at carrots in produce at Harris-Teeters. Got home & realized I forgot carrots (I do like them in meatloaf). Why? Pretty sure I became distracted by females in the produce department - that's my excuse.

Ah, the produce department. It's usually the melons that get my attention.
I'm still feeling pretty yucky, but I don't think I had the flu. What I have is more like a bad cold, alot of sinus issues, but no fever or gastro/intestinal. Just feel drab.
Wife's flu migrated down into her chest. She has a cough and alot of congestion. She's not feeling great either and I think she's gonna call her doc back tomorrow. Thanks for asking about both of us.

So far, so good! The Company has been in business 50-years and has great ratings. The main man on the 2 man crew is the Owner's (still running the company) Son. In a day and a half they've ripped out all the old carpet and hardwood, and prepped/re-leveled existing subfloor. Tomorrow they'll start laying underlayment in the areas where the carpet and hardwood was taken out. In areas where there is existing vinyl tile, like the kitchen and bathrooms, the new floor will just just go over the vinyl tile. They're predicting to be done Monday or Tuesday. Keeping my fingers crossed that things continue to go smoothly. 🤞
Good afternoon guys - hope everyone is having a great day!
Still fighting the bug I have. Doesn't really seem any better or worse. Still feels like a common cold with alot of head conjestion and minor sore throat. I'm functioning but not firing on all cylinders.
Flooring guys have been hitting it since 0900 and I believe are getting close to having most of the underlayment down in the great room, formal dining room, entry foyer, and hallway. They still have the master bedroom to do. Wife took the dogs out of the house because of the loud noises, especially the nailer, it scares the bejesus out of both of them!
Dropped mine off yesterday, picked them up today. Should see the return in my acct.by the end of next week. refund from the feds, refund from thre state, which in turn will pay my city taxes.
Hey guys,
House is a disaster right now, with alot of crap laying around and out of place, but you'll be able to see what the floor looks like. We're ecstatic about the look, exactly what we were hoping for!
Chris - very nice looking flooring. Sounds like the expected result is being realized. Happy days are here again... (of course you know all that white trim will be either painted or replaced with some dark cherry....LOL) the can of worms...to be continued
Jim - Holy smokes that trailer is stout. The picture you shared when you 1st got it did not do it justice when compared to the size of your tractor. Very cool

Jim & Keith - Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated. Even though it was my wife's desire to get new flooring, I will take credit for the brand/type/color. She had originally picked out a lighter tone, with 6" wide planks. I found this with a darker tone, with greater variations in color and patterns between the planks, and 9" width. She loved it and we were both happy. We love it even more now seeing it on the floor. They've got alot to do yet, the kitchen, entry foyer, formal dining room, hallway, hallway bathroom, and master bedroom and bathroom. Gonna be great when they get done!
Cool doggie cabana. I might need to get one for my skittish girl.
Kenneth - Thanks, I'll pass on the compliment to my wife. It's one of the 1st few things she built when she started her woodworking and furniture refinishing during the pandemic. Monty does use it when he's disturbed by loud noises.

I STILL Need to get the dump hydraulics hooked up The plan de jour is to have my opening and closing company put the 1st scoop of good sod from their track hoe [when opening a grave] on the trailer so I can save it and reuse it on a grave that needs sod
Chris, we have wood flooring in our Kitchen/ hallway. The previous owner lady was really proud of it and kept it beautiful. It is 25 years old now and has some of the finish coming up and after we moved a carpet we found it really faded from the sun. Linda wants to get it refinished but I think we should go with the "pergo" type similar to yours. We had a new "pergo"-(that wasn't the brand, but that type) installed in our kitchen at the last house and loved the durability. We dragged something heavy across it and I thought- "Oh no, I shouldn't have done that!", but there wasn't even a scratch. I'm sure you will be happy with it.

Greg - Thanks, thats good to know! Like I mentioned, the stuff we got is supposed to have a lifetime warranty in residential applications. Of course a warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. Hopefully we never have to find out!

Turned the corner on my cold from last night into this morning. Felt so much better that I did 2 workouts today, my scheduled lifting, and my cardio that I skipped yesterday because I felt so lousy.
Not as much visual progress on the flooring today, at least as far as installing actual floor planks. They finished the underlayment in the master bedroom and large walk-in closet, all the underlayment is complete now. They laid actual flooring up the hallway, and in the coat closet and misc. closet at end of hall. Alot of actual flooring left to lay, hallway bathroom, master bedroom, master bath and closet, kitchen, kitchen pantry, formal dining room, and entry foyer. Projected completion is next Wednesday.
