Good deal Norm. One less thing to worry about. You'll be able to follow them home by following the trail. Make sure your wipers work.

I need to sell a couple things. I hate meeting people. Now maybe when they go to shake hands there's already money in them it would be better.

Eh, I don't lock the doors in a convertible anyway. Did you give them my idea of riding like a Jeep? I really need those doors.

Mike - I'll mention to them you're a buyer for the doors. I have fluid in the window washer tank and installed new blades ~2 months ago.

We were all getting ready to sit down awhile ago to watch some TV and my wife looked at Monty and told him to smile for his picture. This is the look she got!

I’m meeting the purchaser at his bank tomorrow. Is it reasonable to think his bank should be able to cash his own check for him and deliver me 270 $100 bills?

Norm, When I sold my H/O I had to go to the bank ahead of time and ax them to be sure to have that much available cash on hand. Naturally they said they would and didn't. So I had to drive to a second branch

If it isn't your bank they might charge you a fee for cashing their check without an account of your own. Wells Fargo is good at that.

Jim/Mike - Think I’m going to have his bank cut me a certified/cashiers check. There are holds placed on cash deposits above $10K & depositing banks must file a Federal (FinCED?) form when accepting cash deposits >$10K. I’d like to make the $$ immediately available to me for stock transaction and leave no paper trail.

Norm - I needed 290 one hundred dollar bills to take to Michigan when I purchased my car.. My Credit Union told me they could accommodate me but they needed 3-days notice,, telling me it was a regulation. They didn't say if it was their own internal regulation, or a federal regulation.

Can someone please help me? I've had our Anniversary, Mother's Day, and today's my Wife's B-day, all in a span of 10 days and I'm broke. Norm, can you float me a loan with some of that cash???

Good morning everyone.

It's a reboot of yesterday. Although I've got a guest robot guy and he's faster than the regular guy and the wheels are piling up.

When I bought my bike in 99, I took a loan from the credit union. I bought the bike in California, and as luck would have it there was a branch of the CU right outside LAX airport. So I went there and got the check and then went to the Harley place. I have driven long distances with large amounts of cash, not something I look forward to doing but it doesn't really bother me. Usually I let my assistant look after it.

My hot rodder neighbor has just about gotten the Chev done. He's waiting on front brake cylinders and power steering rebuild parts. I've got a set of tires picked out that won't break the bank and that should do it. I'm looking forward to being able to drive this guy. I didn't drive it too much before it got parked.

Our 15 minute, 830 break is just ending. The lead talks up getting going and working hard and then watches these people slack off and says nothing. Eh, I'm not signing anyone's paycheck.

Okay have a good day everyone.

Chris - You sell my Indian motorcycle I'll float you a loan.
Mike - You always seem to have a different or new wall guy - why?

Everything removed from the Cutlass & the box of goodies (CSM, extra parts, etc.) he paid me extra are in the trunk. His bank is actually the State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) located <500' from my bank (Wells Fargo) - I can walk there. Both facilities are < one mile from my house. He wanted to write me a personal check - I didn't state otherwise. Since we're meeting at their bank for title notary, I'll indicate I want a certified/cashier's check. If there's a fee - so be it. Either he can pay it or I will (I think they're all of ~$10.

The main people the lead worries about are the robot guys. If we only had 4 people he'd want all four to be on the robot. Which is dumb because that would leave no one to work anywhere else. Anyway, people have an assignment for a week, and then he moves them around. Most of the guys are on the robot one week out of three. I had a couple real good wall guys and they've both transferred. So I get the pond scum now.

When I sold my car, he came with a bank check. To expedite him being able to get the car, I found the closest branch of his bank, went there and cashed it. Then drove to my bank. The teller at my bank forgot to ask me about the details of the large deposit for reporting purposes, so he had to call me the next business day.

Now that spring is here, I will continue the downsizing. Next up is a 90cc quad to get running and sold, another Yard Bug mower (this one I'm selling as parts, because I can't get the damn drive pulley to break free from the driveshaft), and then my leaf trailer at the cottage. Going to take my nice 5x8 trailer to a trailer shop and have them install stake pockets onto it for me, so that I can put tall plywood sides on it for leaf duty in the fall. This trailer was not designed to have pockets put on, so it's a little more work than I have tools to accomplish myself.

My 6'x9' metal ramp open side rail mesh trailer (purchased new 2003) had the 2"x4" side pockets already welded in when purchased new. I know what you're referring to - they come in handy when needed.

Norm - Sounds good, if anyone asks me, I'll just say you will accept an offer, and not mention the bottom price point. BTW, I only passed on the CL link.

Sometimes I miss riding. And I always seemed to have some street cred when I said, ya I have a Harley. I was never really good at riding, and near the end I only rode on the expressway. That wasn't much fun. If I were to ever get another bike it would be a big dresser Indian. Love the hooded fender.

This is not my bike, but it is exactly like it. I had some friends who rode and one guy had just gotten a new [something]Glide, and I wanted a bike and I chose the Fatboy from the brochure. Then went about getting one. Boy did it ride nice.

My trailer has a top rail of angle iron that hangs outboard, so rather than F around with trying to figure out something myself, I'll pay someone to do what I need. I've never welded in my life, so I'll leave it to someone that can make short work out of the job. Plus, my garage isn't wired up for 220.

Picked up some new toys at lunch. Both of my cordless drills are older, with Ni-Mh batteries that no longer hold much of a charge. Since I already have 3 other Milwaukee M18 tools, this combo kit sale price was just the nudge I needed.

I have a 14v Milwaukee driver/drill that I bought 20 years ago, it is better than my DeWalt 18v. I have drilled through 1/2" plate steel with the Milwaukee, while the DeWalt stalled out on a tree stump that I was drilling holes into to put stump killer into, using a brand new bit as well.

Jim - As much as I enjoy working on & driving a classic car I enjoy landscaping & home maintenance just as much. There are several outdoor projects and indoor projects I've had on hold for several years. Each time I consider beginning one of those projects I find myself working on the Cutlass, my truck &/or the motorcycle. In a sense, I'm re-establishing some basic priorities & downsizing the vehicle pool.
