Morning All!

Cloudy but the sun is peeking out occasionally, temps around 32. Wish we had temps in the 70's, lol! I am sooooo ready.

Nice car, Paul! Congrats!

Larry wanted to go to an indoor shooting range over by Don Sitts this morning, but he called and they are full. The guy said there are 18 people waiting,if he wanted to wait, come on over. Of course he doesn't want to wait, so we're not going.

I don't have anything planned today. Nicole is gone already to be with her friends. Guess I'll just sit around. I should go out and check Teepo over and start her. Maybe later. I gotta go out and fill the bird feeders, though.

Well have a great Sunday all!

I hope I can smack whitey 'round fer at least 9 dis mawn'in.

Scot, I think you's fix'in to get drenched and Mike is swim'in.

BTW, This cat is flat out wierd. He [or she ain't touched it yet before it gets tested] looks like it's on crack but all it wants to do is follow you 'round and rub against cha. Very friendly but looks psycho.

Sandy, I dreampt we met. I'll tell ya more when I get tiime. But in de dream you was driv'in a 55 Cheby 2 door wagon white and green. I fixed cha a home made chicken salad sandwich but de place were at was celebrating the anniversary of their opening and had tables full of Cuban sandwiches [un cut] lined up all de way down long picnic tables.

Have a great day Olds friends

WE HAVE SUN this morning! Had an actual beautiful sunrise! Haven't had one of those in like forever, lol. The birds were out at the feeders this morning. They were happy and singing! It's in the 20's now, heading towards 40. We're supposed to have more freezing rain/rain/snow/sleet in the morning for the drive to work. Yipeeeeeeee.....

God it's hot in here. I'm about to turn on my fan......

I would love to have that cat, Jamesbo! I like ones that rub on ya all the time.

Scot... how's your daughter feeling? Better, I hope!

Not much goin on in here. A quiet Monday morning.

Well you all have a great day.

Hey everyone.

Still in Pensacola, I found out the office of the apartment complex has a computer room so I thought I'd check in with the rest of the world.

We got some rain here today but it's cleared up and is nice. Some rain was around last night. Nice temps though.

The surprise party in Daytona was a success. Not a bad ride down in the flying blue brick. I found a mini boom box type at Walmart and it was piece of crapola. It ate one of my tapes and the CD player doesn't play. Gets good reception on the radio though, at least it will until I return it.

Scot I'm gonna high tail it up home tomorrow so I'll get with you later this week and we'll make some plans for the weekend.

I need to get home and get to the Awful house. Had breakfast at IHOP this morning and she asked if I wanted anything in my hashbrowns. I almost said ya scattered covered but I caught myself. Eh, IHOP. Mom likes it.

Okay sounds like everyone is getting along without me. See you guys later on. Paul love the 'Tang. Love the sequential turn signals.

No I'm going up 85 to Atlanta then coming back down to Stockbridge. Haven't heard from anyone at home so I don't know how much rain we've gotten. Eh, big heavy vans are good in the rain with heavy furniture in the back.

Oh forgot to say before that we went to the Naval Air Station museum today. What an excellent place. Very nicely done. Didn't have time to take the trolley tour out to the flight line but I can do that next time.

Ah, thanks Allan. I can't believe I've spent two plus hours looking at this thing. It was either this or try to play with a baby that doesn't like me. Actually I was supposed to find some car insurance quotes for my Mom while she looked after my niece's little boy. I bet she wonders where I went.

Gonna sign off now, I have a feeling we're going to have something yummy for supper tonight, don't want to miss it.

See you all tomorrow evening.

Morning All!

Well it's 34 degrees right now, and cloudy. The rain is supposed to hit us around noon and it's supposed to come down really hard they're saying. Of course it turns to snow tonight, and tomorrow is supposed to be a real mess. I'm really really really tired of this now. It's been a lousy winter.

Another quiet morning in here. I was bored all day yesterday and all last night too. I can't wait until I can get outside in the evenings. I'm starting to get depressed now.

Nicole hasn't heard from that doggy day care she applied at - I told her to stop by on her way home from class and ask what they're doing. I'm sure she won't, but she should.

Good to hear from ya Mike. Glad you're having a nice time.

Well you all have a good day.

Mawnin Oldsmopeeps!

Nice day here for a change. I see some of our southern cousins are getting blasted with winter down in TX and KS. I know that's not what they're used to, so I wish em well.

Heading out to curling practice shortly. 2 sessions today and tomorrow. Gotta get draw weight down, and practice some hit and rolls for the big game Sunday. That one is for all the marbles. Byron and I are currently tied for 1st place and neither of us really likes to lose.

Jamesbo - LOL why couldn't ya pick a town like ske neck tid ney ta speel out? Albany is way to easy. Wouldn't cha hate livin at dis lake? It's called Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg an dats no lie. Small lil lake too. Most peeps there jus call it Lake Manchaug (man kog) apparently its a Nipmuck Indian word...

well gotta go, time to go slidin

Morning, Oldsmofriends. Thanks be to God, the cow must be chewin' her cud in Fla. and eastward now; beautiful weather here in the swamps-- albeit a "mite" chilly, to coin a phrase -- thru the weekend.

Bryan, sorry to hear of your current plight; I wish the best for you and those beautiful kids; I hope you see them very often. God bless you and your family in these trying times. And I hope the kitties fare well in the new move, as well....

And speaking of which, we have yet another #4 kitty around the property. It seems we had a low-renter move her trailer away a couple months ago and didn't bother to take her kitty; so I think the poor thing has been living in the woods. I guess she must be scrounging misc. pet foods from other neighbors at night or something. She's a fully grown calico; hopefully when the better half returns home tomorrow, we can get a game plan to capture the little booger and do something with her. Sandy, interested? ;-) She seems pretty tame, but it will take a while for me to be able to grab her.

Mike, your Mom knows her breakfasts... I like IHOP too. (Why do you think they call your place "Awful"? ) We go to IHOP every blue moon and enjoy it thoroughly. They give you enough food to choke a horse, and it's always decent, IMHO.

Personally, Jamesbo, the biggest problem with Cracker Barrel sausage to me is that it's seldom hot when they bring it to you -- even in the mornings. I like it, but it's often room temp. I generally order the bacon, which seems to move faster, and you get 3 strips, to boot.

Who here was talking about Duck Dynasty recently? I saw where the cast appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show, and Morrissey declined to appear on the same show. He's supposed to be a big "animal rights" guy. Do we have any Morrissey fans here? I should prolly ask before I put my foot in my keyboard.

Anyhoots, have a great Tuesday, folks.

John.... sorry, I can't take the cat. Wish I could. I'm lucky Larry let me have the one I have, lol.

I like IHOP. Only ate there once, when we went to Kansas to get Lin's stuff out of storage. We have them around here, but we never go for some reason.

It's been raining since before noon. I had to walk with my umbrella today, and the wind kept trying to whip it inside out, lol. I hate to think of the rain turning to snow tonight.

Bryan... sorry to hear that, but sometimes people get along better when they're not together, lol. Hope it all works out.

Howdy from the Greater Stockbridge Metropolitan Area. Had a nice trip home today, and the blue van ran like a champ the whole 1400 mile trip. Haven't figured out the gas mileage yet, because I haven't figured out if I want to know it.

Bryan I'm sorry it's come to this but I don't think it was unexpected. Perhaps absence will make the heart grow fonder and you'll end up back together down the road.

So John you go to IHOP whenever there's a second full moon in a month? We have a parts room at work called IHOP. When it was on T concourse they always answered their phones "House of parts." When they moved to the international concourse they would answer the phone "International House of Parts." Hence IHOP. It's hysterical when new people are told IHOP has the part they need.

My pups are sacked out on the couch. They must have had a big weekend. I've got a lot of things to do tonight, and work tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Hi all, hope everyone had a great day. Been a few days since I checked in and am getting caught up on this thread again.

Mike - I know you asked me for pictures of my 63 Riv a few days ago, sorry it took me a while to get them on here. 63 and 64 had the headlights in the grill, 65's where hidaway headlights in the fronts of the fenders. 63-65 first gen Riv's either had the Nailhead 401 or 425 engines. This one has the 401 single 4bbl in it.

Hola, hombres y muchacha

Mike, maybe we need to join in a long chorus of Blue Moon, Marcels style, to start our Wednesday. If that don't put a smile on yer face, nuttin' will....

We used to go out for breakfast every single Sunday of our lives until a couple years ago. We started coming home and better half would make the fancy-schmancy omelette and I'd make all the peripherals (biscuits, grits, and either sausage, bacon, or ham). So I guess it's even less than "every blue moon" we make it to IHOP.

Not sure how often we get two full moons in a month, but it's been about 2-3 years since we've been to IHOP.

There's a little mom & pop breakfast & lunch restaurant in Hammond called Yellow Bird that makes an awesome breakfast at a very reasonable price; we usually wind up there if it's Sunday morning (close to church).

But if it's a Saturday and we have something to do early, we'll go to the Corner Cafe (in Ponchatoula), where they have these things called Beignet Bites that would make a pet-lover kick his dog. They're little puff ***** topped with either strawberries or chocolate syrup, along with a sprinkling of powdered sugar. (That's our dessert after the omelette or breakfast sandwich .)

But anyhoots, glad you had a safe trip. Home, sweet home, reunited with the pups. For those of us who often miss details in these posts, what exactly is your van again?

Sandy, I was only semi-serious... I knew you couldn't take on another. I pick up the better half at the airport today and we're gonna devise a plan to nab the little varmint before she freezes to death this weekend. (Spoze to be in the 20s by Saturday morning .) She's been eating like a longshoreman since I started feeding her. (The cat, that is .)

Well, y'all have a great Humpity Day. Jamesbo, keep it under 95 driving thru Hotlanta.

Morning All!

A nice 40 degrees here this morning and cloudy, of course. Temps supposed to drop and snow later on.

We had rain yesterday, all afternoon and evening. There were 14 ducks swimming in our back yard this morning, lol. Guess the drain is plugged up back there. I'm surprised we haven't seen any Robins yet. They're usually back around here in February.

Another quiet morning in here. I got some serious dozing off done yesterday afternoon. Sooooooo bored......

Mike... glad you made it home safely!

Darrell..... nice of you to drop in! Beautiful car you have there!

John..... good luck getting the cat! You're a good person.

Jamesbo... have fun, lol!

Where's Clint at????????

Well you all have a great hump day!

Good Humpday Mawnin Oldsmofriends

Gonna be another beauty today

Well got my tax refund back an guess what? I've got to go pay taxes with it I guess the resto on my Cutlass will have to wait some more It seems as if our gubment has a toilet for a budget and is now deciding to cripple the main taxpayers by this sequestrian Well enough rant before Jamesbo bans me

Darrell the nailhead and the Riv together makes for a very desirable Buick

Jamesbo I bet the kitty is proud to be "intact" My cat is not "intact" and is very peculiar to say the least. He (Demo) loves to bask in the sun as it shines through the front door (facing south) but is extremely terrified of going outside Weird to say the least.

Got dat' rite, Scot.

Scot, maybe we could form a Doo-Wop trio or quartet Jamesbo, Mike: interested?

Sandy, thanks... can't have a poor, starving kitty (or other domestic animal) on our property that we know of. They seem to know that, and flock to us like a beacon in the swamp fog.

Darrell, that Riv is gorgeous. I have to make a confession that I'm a Buick guy at heart. I can't help it -- it runs in the family --> My Mom used to call the Riviera (your vintage) her "favorite car" when I was a kid. I really like the Riviera GSs from '65 ("Gran Sport" back then) all the way to the mid-70s. The nailheads thru '66 were impossible to destroy. (Loved that 2X4 425.) But I also liked the 430s and 455s. I had a friend with a '67 Riv GS, which had the 430 and the 3.42 posi rear. That thing was a rocket (no disrespect to the Olds Rockets) off the line.... Flat out screamed.

Hi all. I think we got Sandy's weather here today. Cold and raining with lots of wind. Supposed to stop later. Can actually see the ground again now that most of the snow has melted. Took almost 3 weeks to get rid of 32".

Sandy - thanks! Good to hear from you too.

Scot - thanks for the reply, it is one of my favorite combos too.

John - I know what you mean, I like most makes but Buicks are one of my favorites, especially Rivieras. I've had this one since before I could drive and never modified it or thought of selling it. When I started driving in high school, friends would always brag about how fast their Camaro, Impala, 5.0 Mustang was etc. but none of them accelerated like this. The torque of the Nailhead is addicting. It's still the original engine, 50 yrs old and going strong.

Have a great day everyone.

Oh how nice it was to sleep in my own bed and use my own shower. Being on the road is fun, but getting home is nice, too. Didn't realize how tired I was until I slept through most of the TV shows I wanted to watch last night.

John the van is a 90 Chevy G20 Beauville. It replaced an 84, and the fuel injection really does a number for that big brick. I might have to bow out of the singing group. I can't carry a tune in a bucket.

Darrell that is a beautiful Riv. What is in the fenders on that model? My Granddad liked Buicks. He had a succession of Wildcats until they were no more then it was LeSabres. His last car was a 79 Delta 88. It had typical bad GM silver paint and it all flaked off and was dull. It was a 350 but man that thing would haul. I'd take it out on some errands and the next time my Grandmother would drive it she'd say, my, my car has never run so well. What did you do to it? Actually I never did anything to it, just drove more than 20mph.

Beautiful day here. The lake looks like ***** Wonka's chocolate river. I got a lot of catching up to do.

Jamesbo you could probably find out what you want online. Or ask a non-clergy jewish person. Or maybe you just like driving into the city.

Sandy bring a laptop to work and watch movies. Or fantasize about all the evil things you'd do to Brian if you could.

Well I guess I oughta do something constructive. Work tonight. Also time to start getting ready for Australia. That trip is getting to be a chore.
