This morning, My Old man just tested positive for the covid virus. He has been shot three ways, but still got that damn virus. Big worry at 95 though he is strong and healthy. My daughter and son-in-law are taking over getting him set up for the new virus meds. So far I don't show any signs, systems of the virus.... Tedd

Tedd - That's a shame your Dad has come down with it, but hopefully the vaccinations will keep him from getting really sick! Hope you can avoid it. Best wishes!

Norm, I can still see it in my post, go figure. Kenneth, you are right on the bees, plenty of honey bees humming around, probably 95% honey bees and the rest bumble bees, and an occassional wasp.

Hi everyone.

Sunny and hot today, I did some mowing at my Mom's today. I must be crazy because it was after I got home from Walmart. I guess Walmart didn't take enough out of me. Eh, it's done for now.

Had a meeting of the neighborhood yesterday over at the airport. Years ago someone owned the airport and decided he wanted to sell it. Can't happen, people have airplanes at their houses and the property deeds say they have access. So the neighbors sued him and the outcome was the neighbors formed an LLC and they own the runway, the line office, and the T hangers. Anyone who pays into the LLC is part owner of the airport and we have a meeting twice a year, it's just like a homeowners association meeting. Except we're all friends and there's no arguing.

Tiger had to stay home today, he's not allowed to ride in the car. Mom can no longer get up into the pickup. We're going to eat early tonight so I can go home and take care of him. Yes I'm at my Mom's right now. I keep the computer here, it's easier than balancing it on my lap sitting on the front porch at my house.

Tedd hang in there with all you have going on. Hopefully your [roommate] can make other arrangements and not stay with you anymore. Prayers Dad licks it quick.

This is the first time seeing Dan's message. No sunflowers. Dang.

Okay pizza is ready. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Well lI am on a Win10 laptop and the sunflower picture is no longer visible. I have done nothing to any settings, and never even opened the Dark Mode post as I had no interest. I guess I am getting interested now. Or bothered.

I haven't attempted to enable Dark Mode for CO on any mobile device - why would I when you can toggle both Dark/Light mode on the device itself. As I suggested above and elsewhere, I am not on-board w/ any benefit this (supposed) feature provides to CO.

I have validated several things:
(1) I am running W11 on my PC - the image no longer appears;
(2) I am using Mozilla (Firefox) as my (default) Browser - the image no longer appears;
(3) I am using iPhone with the latest version update & Safari Browser - the image no longer appears;
(4) I have tested MS Edge Browser - the image no longer appears.

I have NOT nor will I test the Chrome Browser. If anyone is running the Chrome Browser it would be noteworthy to see if the image appears in the Chrome Browser. These "types" of changes are written to/for specific Browsers. If we find Chrome Browser demonstrates the appearance of the image, it might suggest the current Dark Mode feature was written for the Chrome Browser (if anyone cares to respond).

Dan, what Browser are you using?

Tomorrow is Day 1 of a two day (36 hole) ProAm tournament at my club. Format = Best Ball Gross & Net Format (Skins game also included). I ventured out to our driving range late this evening & I was spanking it rather well. Of course, that says nothing w/ regard to how I play the next two days.

The URL for the image appears, but the image itself does not appear. That is because the posted URL does NOT contain the actual image file extension (e.g., .jpg, .jpeg, .png, etc.) I saw this once this morning when Eric (Administrator) attempted to post an image but neither did the URL appear nor the image (malformed w/o the proper extension). The CO site REQUIRES the actual image file extension (e.g. .jpg, .jpeg, etc.) to be embedded (contained) w/in the link URL.

At least it appears the current Dark Mode has been written to the Chrome Browser.

Additionally, I suspect mobile devices will/should/would be able to display your image via an Android phone since Google owns Android and Android devices use Chromium (the open-source version of Google Chrome).

And, to be clear...a user does not need to have enabled Dark Mode on any device in order for an image NOT to function. Since there was/were no issues previous to this (supposed) feature benefit of Dark Mode on a "mobile" device, I suspect the actual web page is written incorrectly (from a developer's POV). IMO, the actual mobile device GUI (Graphical User Interface) for the CO site has been kludgy at best since I've been a CO member (7/2018). But, you know what....IB is using the CO site as a Beta testing ground - aren't we all lucky?

Guess I missed that. Do you run Chrome on your PC or laptop? Can you see the image on any of those devices if you are using Chrome?

Haven't tried to view them on my laptop with Chrome. I cannot see them on my Samsung Android Tablet with Chrome that I'm using right now.

Chromium is an open-source and free web browser managed by the Chromium Project. In comparison, Google Chrome is a proprietary browser developed and managed by Google. Unlike Chromium, Google Chrome offers built-in support for media codecs like MP3, H. 264, and AAC. The IB staff person who wrote this Dark Mode (supposed) benefit feature needs to re-evaluate (perhaps in a true Beta testing site on IB servers) how well this feature was written. I really don't feel like providing ANY feedback to IB whatsoever.

I suspect whomever wrote the Dark Mode mobile interface web page screwed the pooch when they (perhaps) thought they'd just toss in the Dark Mode feature into the mobile Hamburger ribbon without knowing/realizing the consequences. Just a guess but the rendering of the web page in most of our Browsers has gone amuck.

NOTE: From my URL link above ^^ this is what commonly occurs when someone has limited access and/or knowledge regarding a previously employed (written) Hamburger button:

Usability

The menu button may increase interaction cost compared to a bottom bar menu, requiring extra clicks to retrieve the same information, albeit with the benefit of less space usage of the screen, in the context of mobile apps.[15] It has also been argued that designers tend to overload these icons with too much hidden information.

Herein lays the issue. The IB staff member who developed/wrote the code for the src (SOURCE) REQ (request) failed to accommodate for the correct interlacing of embedded elements on the web page when they ported this (supposed) feature into the CO website for mobile applications using the Hamburger menu.

Here's the original SOURCE code for Jim's K5 Blazer image:

If, instead, I post the actual image of Jim's K5 blazer into the CO UPLOAD feature, the webpage (this page we're viewing) should render the element (.jpg) as an image (which will hopefully show up below when I'm done writing). The IB staff member hasn't accommodated for the correct nesting of active elements contained w/in the webpage he/she has built - that is a big issue when you're writing code. Notice in Dan's image URL the actual link begins w/ https://lh3.googleusercontent.com.

That is a malformed element for the webpage (for some reason). I don't have ANY idea for ANY answer but I can tell you he/she tried to port this to Chrome and it's most likely the Hamburger button is what's causing conflicts on the webpage. BTW, someone's working on this as we type since Dan's posted URL no longer works and cannot be rendered. Go ahead and try Dan's original URL links above - neither of them are working.

One thing about Google and writing to Chrome is the usage of hidden underlying requests and embedded elements. Google maintains the largest stockpile of user data in the world. Dan's URL is now being rendered as a BAD REQUEST (this also demonstrates someone at IB is working on this issue as we type). In the following scenario, you should know that YOU are the client (making a request for that URL).

A 400 Bad Request error means that the request the client made is incorrect or corrupt, and the server can't understand it. The main thing to understand is that the 400 error is a client-side error. It indicates that the request the client submitted can't be processed by the server.
YOU (the client CO member) most likely cannot address/fix this error. None-the-less, when troubleshooting these types of errors, they're rather simple from a developer's POV or a monitoring/management POV which is what I did for ~15 years.

How do I fix a 400 Bad Request?
For Android:
  1. Tap Chrome menu >> Settings.
  2. Tap (Advanced) Privacy.
  3. Select "All Time" from Time Range to clear your entire cache.
  4. Check Cookies and Site data and Cached Images and Files.
  5. Tap Clear data.
  6. Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Norm - You really seem to be a SME when it comes to this website design and coding business. There's one particular thing that's bugging me about this stuff though. I posted a whole bunch of car show pics yesterday, and everyone can still see them today (at least I believe they can), yet we can't see Dan's pics? Would he have had to post the pic with that new "Dark Mode" setting activated to cause what we are observing (or should I say not observing)?

No. This is nothing more than malformed interlacing webpage request elements ported to the Chrome Browser which is causing this anomaly. This has to be addressed on the CO website by the IB staff member who is writing this code.

BTW, without any question of doubt whatsoever I am NOT a developer. I have built websites from COTS (Canned Off The Shelf) programs. I have installed and fine-tuned numerous global management & monitoring systems for a plethora of software, but I am absolutely not a developer - especially a website developer. I understand the building and required coding behind a webpage/website - just enough to get myself in trouble. Additionally, this malformed code being ported over to the mobile (supposed) feature is written in either C or C++, I believe.

We had a little cruising around last saturday in the nice weather :

Ps, click on " visa på youtube"

Sadly we had some heating problems so we got home early , checked the stat
and it was 195F , should replace it with a 180F as i have in the 88. Have also
tried to buy a fan schroud like the one 88 ac-car have but should look for someting
else. But there was first time i noticed some heating issue , all fluids checked before
leaving home. But there is a lot of waiting and stops at the cruising with so many cars
driving.

Hi guys, US27 Motor Tour was great. Some rain when was at Clare but we skipped Clare anyway. We went back early to our house in Harrison to get ready for our overnight guests. Olds performed flawlessly, no one else that I saw had any breakdowns either. Sorry no pics, I just forget about them.. Tedd I hope everything works out ok with your Dad and roommate. Wow a lot going on in your life now.

Glenn - I sure enjoy watching the Arvika videos.
Greg - The US27 tour sounds enjoyable - it's on Old US 27, correct?

I'll probably head over to the club ~ 9AM.

Artemis launch live coverage begins ~0833 (EDT).
It appears Disturbance 1 has a good chance of forming into a Trop. Depression & possibly reach hurricane status later this week.

Glenn - Thanks for the video, like Norm, I really enjoy them too!

Greg - Glad you had a good time on the car tour, that you car ran well, and you got home safely.

Norm - Good luck at the golf tournament, and with the sale. I'm seeing news there is a problem with Artemis and the launch may be delayed.
