I was close, pizza came after 1130. We took our time eating. The wheels started up and we finished around 130. Left about ten after 2. It was raining buckets. Came home and sat down and fell asleep. Finally went to get my hair cut then to Mom's then to Awful house. We didn't get anything done although she got quite a bit done during the day. I'm tired. This getting up at 2am is for the birds.
So that Imperial I was lusting after, the guy in Texas found a cheep way to get it home so he's not selling. Those cars don't come up for sale very often, wonder when I'll see another one.
Tomorrow is Hump Day, and I plan to go in early. Nothing special going on the rest of the week, but next week we get Friday off. I'd lobby to work and save the day, but I kinda like the idea of an extra day off these days. The lobbying never works anyway.
And now, bed. I hope no one wants to go out in the middle of the night.
Ya plenty of times. I know a guy that goes there always puts honey on his waffle. He says, try it you'll like it. I tried it once, it was gross. So I stick to the imitation brown syrup they have.
Tonight we both had a BLT. They do a pretty good one.
I was surprised when I went to the Awful House last summer ( on my trip to Indy- none around here) they don't serve omelets. Surprising for a breakfast place....
Mike - Did you know the Chick-Fil-A sandwich was first contracted to be served at the Waffle House? They sold so well (better than the signature "waffles"), that the person who contracted the Chick-Fil-A sandwich instead opened the Chick-Fil-A restaurants and cancelled the Waffle House contracts.

Their big thing is hashbrowns. The idea is you get eggs however, plus all the goodies, but on the hashbrowns.

I do honey on my eggos. Not because I like it over syrup, but I use honey on it, because I can also use honey in my coffee, and so I don't have to stock syrup, creamer, or sugar, or even milk a lot of the time, at home.
For big *** Belgian waffles in my maker thing, I get all the stuff.
The servers use a proprietary version of diner lingo to call in orders, and the menu suggests some use of the same lingo when placing orders for hash brown potatoes: "scattered" (spread on the grill), "smothered" (with onions), "covered" (with cheese), "chunked" (with diced ham), "diced" (with diced tomatoes), "peppered" (with jalapeño peppers), "capped" (with mushrooms), "topped" (with chili), and "all the way" (with all available toppings). The option of "country" was added for hash browns with sausage gravy on them.[

i thought they did make them
We need to consult the expert
Mike? Don't they make them in the small skillet on the right front of the stove?
I "think " or have been told the stove top stays on a constant temp in different locations [front/back, left/right]
I believe those levels of the Waffle House Index are in relation to cooperation w/ FEMA disaster preparedness if I'm not mistaken. Waffle House(s) are part of the National Disaster Preparedness plan of some form I think.

Indeed they are.
Of course, Lane Pittman is my favorite hurricane warning system.
While you guys have been studying Waffle House. I've been reading Jeep Forums. Ya think Olds people are nut cases, How about 4 page discussion on the :correct" serial number on brass Pyrene Fire extinguishers. People are [evidently] paying over $100 dollars for a brass fire extinguisher that won't work and if it did, might kill you with the stuff that comes out of it
Me thinks, top, shovel, axe, cargo bag. Carbine Scabbard and call it a day. "If ' I wanted a fire extinguisher, I'd get one that could put out a fire
Mike, The Super Model and I just re did our wills. Question. Do you label rare 'stuff" So if you got hit buy a bus your heirs don't toss it or sell it for Pennies on the dollar. Example Dukw anchor
Jim, we just went thru the will/ estate thing, that combined with moving really changed the way I think about hoarding stuff. I have cleared out a lot, and I have marked certain parts I've kept for the Olds and truck. It seems like thinking that way would be a downer, but it's not. I just think of my sons going thru this stuff and seeing what it was and hopefully not tossing in the scrap metal.... I am now 65 and my plan is to make sure everything not used when I am 75 is liquidated. My sons don't give a rats *** about old cars or anything old in general, I can just see the Olds sitting with stuff on top of it until the tires go flat and the engine seizes, etc. "Going to get it back out someday and cruise" That's why I plan to simplify and liquidate before I can't. Now if we are still using the Olds and F100 at 80 yrs old then that will be great and we will keep them...
Greg, I guess i was lucky. My parent bought good stuff and took care of it and now I'm doing the same. Although everyone wants my drop top, my parents Stickley furniture will probably become firewood
After my wife and I made our wills me made an attachment for personal items "Memorandum for dispositioned tangible personal property" I sent text out to see who wants what I need 6 69 442 drop tops and some wanted some guns, fishing tackle and camping stuff, but no one wanted a stick f furniture, family silver or other "hand me downs"
I really want my last check to bounce. Being of sound mind and body I spent it all

Jim - Although I am still holding out hope that at least one of my daughters will want several family heirlooms (my Mom's antiques, china, silver, glassware etc.) neither seems to have an affinity for "old stuff". I would hope they kept a few things just to say to their grandkids, this belonged to your great, great Grandma. I have a son-in-law who's really into motorsports and hunting who would love to have my 4-4-2, motorcycles, and hunting equipment/guns. The motorcycles will definitely be sold before I'm gone, I'm not going to leave behind something they can easily kill themselves on. When I built my living will/trust, I included pictures with estimated or actual appraised values of the rare or valuable (not mutually inclusive) items. Even if they decide to sell many of the items, I thought it would at least guide them and help them get a fair price for the stuff. Glad you brought this topic up, my 4-4-2 is not in my Trust yet and needs to be added.

Good morning guys,
The monsoons continue with rain forecast on and off most of the day today and cool in the high 40's. Rain is forecast to continue through Friday, and very cool with a chance of snow Thursday evening, but no accumulation. We're looking at a low of 29° early Saturday morning, frickin winter just won't go away!
Wife's follow-up with the surgeon is at 1045 this morning. I didn't sleep worth a $hit last night! Praying for good news so we can get on with our lives with alot less anxiety.
Weird that the topic came up regarding hoarding / passing things down to the next generation, because that was on my mind yesterday as well. Had finally started doing my taxes, and itemizing the donations. Then, taking 15 minutes for lunch, turned on Hoarders and watched a few minutes of it. Needless to say, by the end of yesterday, I had cleaned up a bunch of paperwork and sat aside some items to donate that are just taking up space. Clutter drives me crazy, so maybe I ought to watch Hoarders once a week to give me a kick in the *** to clean.
Jeff - I’ve never watched Hoarders. Doubt I ever will. Those types drive me bonkers.
Unfortunately, my wife's friend is dealing with cleaning out her mother's house, and it's a hoarder situation. They've been at it for months now. The mom is suffering from dementia and is about to be put into a memory care facility. Every weekend, they find something that no one knew was there -- unused items, sometimes in original packages and unopened. The latest was a big, rolling stainless steel deck cooler. My wife's other friend is helping, but she's got her own issues with not being able to just pitch stuff into the trash. "Don't throw that out, I haven't looked at it yet!"
My wife's follow-up was not what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, more specialists and the potential for additional surgery/s are now a real possibility. I probably won't be on here much for a few days while I try to get my brain right so that I can be all in here for her. We have to go back again in 2-weeks after additional specialists review her case and a recommendation for the way forward is determined. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks to all of you who have already chimed in with well wishes for my wife, they are very much appreciated! It's not all gloom and doom at this point, more like inconclusive, and needing the expertise of a specialist to examine the pathology to determine if more needs to be removed. You're a great bunch of guys and we're lucky to have all of you rooting for us!
Talked on the phone until 1030 last night. Remember my friend Leo? I love talking with him but at 1030 I reset the alarm. I wasn't getting up at 2 with only four hours of sleep. I felt okay when I got up at 4 but was moments from auto-shutdown all day long. I couldn't keep my eyes open. My wall guy got me a Coke and that helped, but I was sluggish all day. I'm not going to my Mom's today, I'm gonna just hit the sack. Tiger will have to do with dry food only for his supper tonight. I hope I feel better in the morning. We're going to be short mechanics and I sure don't want to call in, that would really put a damper on the operation.
Awful house. Greg you must have gotten a crew that didn't want to do anything. One of the hooks is that they put the eggs in a milkshake blender and the omelet comes out all fluffy. I had never heard the story about the chicken sandwich. If it's true, that person would be S. Truett Cathy, founder of Chick Fil A. The morning chef at the AH I go to refuses to do hashbrowns "in the ring." I don't know why.
Jamesbo my will was done when I was just out of high school. My Mom and I were flying to Florida for the first time and thought we needed wills in case the plane crashed. I never did change it. My Mom is the sole beneficiary and if she isn't around it's my aunt, who would probably throw everything out because she doesn't really like me. I know my Mom would get a dumpster and start pitching. I can get my will redone for nothing through the company. I really need to do that. I would probably earmark the good stuff for the car museum I'm a member of. They could use it or sell it or toss it, at that point I guess I wouldn't care.
I thought I was past worrying about the coyotes. That's a nice video of him going wherever the hell he wants.
Well I'm going to take some medicine and jump into bed. I'll probably be wide awake at 10.
Chris I genuinely hope this is a small bypass in your wife's recovery and that everything will turn out fine.
Chris, we'll be here for you in the long haul. Hang in there buddy. My company will pay for my will as well. My atty. has been after me to get one made out. I just don't know what will go where. I have one sibling left, older than me, and i am not keen on leaving aything to my nephews or nieces....not a highly motivated bunch, who seem to think they are entitled to whatever anyone else has. As I have no kids, most of my automobilia will go to my best friends son, who loves cars & history.

Yep, apparently they think they own the world. I might have mentioned before that my neighbor walked out of his house into the back yard and saw a 'yote, the 'yote spooked and effortlessly went over his 6 foot block wall.
