What, and leave the great grandkids out of it, I have two of them so far.
Went and fetched the Money Pit last night, what a différance, no following groves or wandering from pillar to post, steering wheel is clocked correctly more like I'm used to. It was so foggy(actually I was In the clouds) I couldn't open it up to see how it felt in the upper speeds, time will tell, where is spring? Raining now..Tedd
If all goes well, (that means if it doesn't rain), I'm going to start on the headlight that are not only yellowed but were originally smoked gray from the factory. This may or may not work out, ill see shortly. The switches I need to install are coming from the slow boat from China or some other place foreign. I would like to go for a ride with the seat warmers on and the top down, but this probably will be postponed till the parts come in.
I checked with Amazon and a bunch of my stuff still hasn't come in, and the delivery date is getting pushed back on most of it In all it will get done before spring were not through the snow times yet.. See you soon.... Tedd
Tedd, I think if you spend enough time, and maybe even throw in a polishing step, the headlights will return to a pretty close semblance of their former glory. I was really surprised how well my Enclave lenses came out.
Jeff, I started on the headlights today with polishing compound Mguire's #5 then Race Glaze and the final with Plastic polish. Tomorrow I'll give them a coat of clear coat. That's about all I want to get into them at this time. They are going to be smokey color no mater what, the smoky color goes all the way through the lens. Lots to do with touch up and polish on the rest of the car, this is going to take a while. I'm working on one panel at a time... Here is a before and after on the start of the job. First buff DA buff Finish buff Kinda what I started with
Everything on hold for now as I tested positive for the Covid virus last night. I was wondering why I could get out of breath just washing dishes.
Working on getting into Enloe hospital and getting a shot for those who have gotten an early diagnosis. Didn't need this in my life at this time, or any time...Tedd
If I can get all my ducks in a row(that's paper work delivered to the correct places) I may get an intervenes treatment tomorrow to receive antibody enriched blood for my weak old stuff. New procedure to me but my kids knew all about it, I'm sure this will all work out one way or another I'm feeling better as the days pass... Tedd
I was curious which procedure you were referring to in an earlier statement you made regarding a shot. There is a series of four subcutaneous injections (shots) available for the mAb (monoclonal antibody regimen) but most of the mAb procedures involve an mAb infusion. And, there exists an entire U.S.A. shortage of the three most common (SARS-CoV-2) monoclonal antibodies (mAb). What your kids described is a somewhat common procedure of convalescent blood plasma therapy. It has a good history of effective treatments for other illnesses prior to SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The procedure doesn't directly involve mAbs however; it's a regimen of a cocktail of (polyclonal) antibodies from donors who have previously been infected with SARS-CoV-2 who developed an immune response (and survived; albeit, they gave blood) to SARS-CoV-2. They take their blood, run it through a dialysis machine (essentially), more appropriately called a pheresis machine, then concentrate the blood plasma enriched with the donor's antibodies and provide you with an infusion of the enriched antibody plasma. This will then BOOST your own immune system response to ward off and fight the SARS-CoV-2 infection much faster and with much more vigor.
Best to you, Tedd. Hope all is good.

I will know more later today, this is all new to me and I haven't much research, depending on others that know . Gotta go.... Tedd
I had to change hospitals to find one that had the material for the infusion, lucky to get accepted at Oroville Hospital as they only had a few units left. It's a 50-mile drive to Oroville from my house, but figured if I had to drive, I might as well drive the Money Pit and see if the new suspension helped in the higher speeds, it did well, but the switch for the driver's window gave it up, that's one of the parts I'm waiting on from Amazon and it wouldn't go down, almost put the top down but though better of it because of the Covid thing. Made it through the treatment and home.... Tedd
Glad you were able to find a hospital with the infusion materials, I hope this treatment works in your favor & you're on the road to a rapid sustained recovery. You're accepting of this in great stride, Tedd - good on you.
NOTE: For those following along, Tedd's infusion therapy would not have been possible without blood donations from previously infected SARS-CoV-2 blood donors who contracted COVID-19 and recovered from COVID-19. This is just one testament of the willingness of blood donors to provide blood & the application of blood therapy protocols - donate when you are able.

I feel better, not good but better, I washed the mud, buffing dust and crud off the Money Pit and only had to rest twice and take a nap after. Two days ago, I couldn't walk to the car from the house without a cane or someone's arm for support. Coming back faster than I expected, Amazon dropped off some of my parts, and I am looking to see what stuff I can install without standing. Tedd
Norm, what I received is like the donor infusion but is a man made artificial antivirus infusion, very new and experimental. Had to sigh a bunch of paperwork and such before they began the procedure, I'm ignorant but did what my daughter said to do, seem to work, doing good this morning..... Tedd
Fixing over spray spots, lots of them, mostly on rubber or plastic trim. I should have re masked the MPB one extra time between the last color coat and clear coat. The tape lifted in a few places and when you look close it's a mess.
After the paint repairs, my attention switch to interior lower steering column dash trim. The PO had screwed parts of it back together with deck screws, which were too long and too small diameter to catch any clips behind it to hold the piece tight against the upper dash. I used door card plastic clips, and that solved that problem, I was thinking I would have to buy that trim piece, and it runs over a hundred buck, so that hundred saved will go into the door card fund. That's next on the expensive stuff to buy list, one of many.... Tedd
Putting these in the MPB cockpit area, kinda a floor mat carpet combo. Trying to dress up the cabin some, it needs it. I'll try and remember to take a before and after shot, I'm bad about that, I get started and forget about everything else. Carpet floor mat combo for the Money Pit
Glad you are felling better; my mother in law got the infusion... she felt rough for just short of two days... then, literally like a switch was flipped, she was markedly improved... almost energetic... which is saying something for an 82 yo paraplegic, let alone one recovering from COVID!
And here it is after I stuffed it in. Not hard to do except I had to kneel to get the material square and flat, not much on kneeling anymore. That dangling orange wire comes out of the OB2 port, someone smarter than me will have to chase that down..Tedd Drivers side new mat Passenger side new mat

I'm just about to go off Covid house arrest and get the Hell out of these digs. Will probably give the Money Pit a super wash and scrub tomorrow, then hit the paint with a cut and buff. I can see a major touch up on the paint job coming up, not very happy with my work that I did last month. In time the Money Pit will be blue, but for now I'll touch up the red if for nothing more than to prove to my self I can do it. Let's see how much energy I can muster because in my mind everything is easy, in reality I'm no longer young, but still having fun..... Tedd
At it again with the buffer, spent about an hour and a half working on the rough spots. My energy went away about the time the rough spots did, two more grits to get the shine I want.
Has anyone used an air brush for little bitty touch up spots? I think I can touch up most everything with about two tablespoons of base coats, then blend in some clear and buff the whole car with the remaining two grits. It's looking salvageable, and I think I can get a one footer paint job out of the mess I made on the first go around. Pictures are where I'm at now.... Tedd Starting buffing with coarse grit One pass around with coarse Looking better, needs finer grit for a high shine
Got a late start, I had ranch stuff to do today, the Old man had to change bookkeepers because the one he had was just a little younger than him and wanted to retire. I was there as interpreter, trying to make sure everyone was on the right page at the same time. Both are very sharp, but both are hard of hearing.
I got home just before nap time but managed to buff out one side of the rear plastic window, tomorrow I'll do the inside then some touch up on a few spots that will need a little Bondo and sanding, they're beyond buffing. I might try my air brush on the color coat and clear, as I have used it on stock work, and it worked good for small fine work. The checklist is getting smaller, I'm taking it one day at a time....Tedd
I buffed it out with a finer grit #2 and found a few small runs that didn't show up before, sheen will do that to you. Today fine grit/ polish #3 and then if I have anything left in me, I'll ceramic coat it and call it good. I could stop now, but I would like to see how far I can go with this Money Pit, polishing this turd just for fun. Pictures when done in a different area, you are probably tired of seeing my messy work area....Tedd
Someone come and take my DA from me, I can't stop! The lower I go on the nose, the worse it looks/ feels. I spent about two hours laying on my side working on the noes of the MPB, trying my best not to burn through the clear with the DA yet catch any orange peel or runs that I could feel with my fingers. It's a lot better now. Touch up Monday with the air brush and red base coat, then clear. Here are a couple of pictures of the nose after grinding on it with 600 WD.Tedd Buffed it down with 600 Last time I work on the bottom of this car.
Slow start today, had to help castrate and dock the Old Man's lambs, just a little part of farming. Then there was football, good thing there is tomorrow.... Tedd
Thanks for the commitment on the house, the plans were originally made for a house from San Diego, but it was changed a lot because of the snow load I get, steeper roof and enclosed the entry so snow won't collect on the floor where a flower bed was supposed to be. It's now a place where I stack fire wood, so I don't have to go out in the rain or snow to get fire wood in the middle of the night...Tedd
Finished the nose of the MPB today. There were a bunch of issues/ problems, but all were overcome. I need to get it all together before Saturday for this month's Cars and Coffee. My friends will think I've lost interest in the local car show and moved on to greener pastures....Tedd New nose
Cars and Coffee tomorrow, and I'm taking the Money Pit. I worked on it most of the day, and for me that's unusual, the Car looks pretty good except if you know where to look, unfortunately my friends are real car guys and know where to look. Pictures tomorrow of anything that catches my eye, bed early tonight....Tedd

Cars and Coffee was fun, friends all wanted to know where the Old's was. The Miata guys asked if I still had the Miata. There were about 150 cars, only one car I could find was an Oldsmobile, a 37 4 door with a Chevy small block dressed up like a Olds 303. It was done well, but why not a real 303? The picture sucks as the light was wrong, but I put it in any way.
Lunch/ breakfast with the Old Man, first time he has ridden in the Money Pit, then pizza for dinner with friends... A good day, no issues with the car, except my new floor mats jammed up around the brake and throttle peddles and caused a little concern at a stop light. I'll look into that today....Tedd 1937 Oldsmobile 1937 Oldsmobile more door
Doing little stuff today, just cosmetic or obvious uglys . Yesterday, had an upholstery guy look at my fabricated lid for behind the seat storage. He thought he could reupholster it for around $125, I'm going to look around or maybe do it myself.
Taking the M/P to Chico today and have the BMW shop look at my rag top that is stuck in the partly open position, can't close it, can't open it. I'm afraid to force it and break something expensive. Gotta be simple, or I have to be pretty dumb, maybe both... Tedd
Thanks Glenn, I think. It is all what I expected, fun to drive in the mountains, mostly because of the HP, and it's a rag top, it stops good, the automatic trans makes my shoulder feel good and so does the power steering. It's a little bigger and more comfortable than the Little Red car, but all in all, I wouldn't be surprised if the Miata would turn in better lap times than the Money Pit on a tight course. If I feel aggressive, I go with the Miata, if Old mannish is the mind set for the day the Money Pit is the one to be in. Different strokes for the same folks sometime... Tedd
