There's not much going on for classic cars here in Wisconsin this time of year. The little Honda AZ600 Coupe has been ignored this year since purchasing the Cutlass. Waiting for a nice day, w/ dry streets to fire it up & drive around the block a few times. 2 cylinders, 600cc, 4 speed, front wheel drive, 1971 car on factory 10" wheels. All original. A survivor. Runs well w/ 46,000 miles. First cars Honda ever imported to the US. Just the opposite of the Oldsmobile. Both interesting cars.
I remember those. The Honda motorcycle dealer back in Louisiana where I grew up was the first dealer for those little cars. How about posting a couple more pictures.
Oh yes. Just replaced 2 of them. Falken Tyres | Mini Tyres | minisport.com Mini Sport. Surprisingly there are about 3 good sources of parts in the US for these cars. People who have been in the hobby for years. I rebuilt all the rubber seals in my brakes when I bought it. Otherwise, the steering rack wear parts (bushings) were also replaced. Not too tough. I have the Manuals. Runs & drives great. I put about 100 miles on it per year. I had many years of practice on small cars w/ my 1972 Spitfire.

The first time I saw one of those was when I was stationed at Fleet Weather Central, Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. A motorcycle had hit it in the drivers side and totaled it. The car, not the motorcycle.
They're fun little cars to play around with. A '73 brown Spitfire 1500 was my first car in college. This is my 3rd one. I drive them very little. Wouldn't want to have a wreck in either one. I was more foolish at a younger age. 30 years ago, we had a 1971 Buick G/S. It was in great shape, but at that time I couldn't afford a car to sit in the garage for sunny days. We sold it & bought a house. This time I went looking for a Cutlass. Same colors again, but the Cutlass has better lines in my opinion.
I was in Misawa Japan in 1977 when I served in the Navy. I remember how small the cars were and had of picture of myself next to a small Japanese coupe, the roof came up to about my ribcage. So small...
I'm 6'2 & surprisingly fit pretty well into the driver's seat. The footwell is narrow, but the car is tall enough. It has 4 seats but is rated for people weighing 150 lbs. & 50 lbs. luggage. 10'2" long.

I need to check my pictures at home. There's a pic of me standing next to a Honda 600 in a hallway when I was in college. It belonged to one of the professors and we loaded it in the cargo elevator and blocked him in his office before he retired.
When in High School, a group of us in the wrestling team picked a lady teacher's MG Midget and put it seven steps up on the school's entryway. There was enough trouble to go around for everyone on that ordeal. I have always been a fan of small sports cars.. Tedd

I know that I have pictures somewhere of my oldest brother and his friends picking up my second oldest brother's Bug and putting it in the yard before his first date. Guess what? He married her
So PS: One of my horsepower driven Young Sheldon thoughts has been to build an Early Honda with an early Kawasaki 1000 drive drivetrain. If you know mini race cars they already do it.
My Mom was 🙏 brought up on horsepower. Her Dad was an early Mopar / Chrysler hemi man. 54 Crown Imperial Hemi then 300's. 62 413 car and a 70 300. She owned a brand new 70 Maverick... She loved horsepower. I was like Mom what the heck? She traded that in for a 1976 Honda CVCC. Manual trans car. My Mom would kick your *** in that car. I love early Honda's. So many stories about my Mom KNOWING horsepower. She stole my roommate's Brand New 100 mile Iroc while she was raking the yard. Came home and said Michael this car is slow. Had a manual too...
She got in my Olds and was like Oh Yeah..

remember those cars well. back when they first came over they were for sale at different new car dealerships. we had a pontiac dealer here in rochester ny that was advertising buy a new bonneville get a honda free, i believe they were $799 new. my wife was just getting her drivers license and i tried to convince my dad to buy a bonneville but didn't go for it. i've been looking for that newspaper ad for years and can't find it in any archives. wanted to send it to jay leno when he did that segment at beginning of show on newspaper ads
Here's the pic of me next to Mr. Schieszer's car. As I recall, it is a 71 Honda 600.
Here's a pic of me next to my 64 Oldsmobile 98. I think this pic is before the one above, but not by much. It was my first Oldsmobile and I owned it all the way through my time in the U.S. Army.
My brother had one of those for a little while. The previous owner stuffed a 9" ford rear under the back and installed a 4 cyliner/ 4 speed out of a chevette. It was actually a pretty fun little car. Here is a link to a bangshift article talking about the car when he initially had it for sale: https://bangshift.com/bangshift1320/...ady-drag-week/
He ended up painting it a matte graphite color and clening up the interior with new carpet and door panels.
