It's been 10 years.
I joined this forum 10 years ago ( I was 21) . Kind of funny to look back and see how much has actually changed in my mindset if one could say that. Im not really on any other forums and this place is kind of nice balance. Although my focus is on drag racing my olds there is a small group for that. I have also gotten alot of good advice over the years here. It's been a great resource for parts . I have met some great people from this forum who became close friends . There is no doubt this place has influenced me ., Not only in the hobby . I became really good friends with a member who hasn't been very active (lately) here 67cutlassfreak who started the epic home porting thread. We not only became friends he married my wife and I and he went through the process to be an ordained minister and all that . I also have been able to help others on here which is always a good feeling along with making new friends. I know I'm probably not the only one who has made friends here but I just wanna say thanks and also sorry if I ever annoyed anyone along the way. Looking back 21 year old me would annoy present day me lol.

Copper this is an excellent post. I remember when you first started on here and your were a kid. You have lots of experience now and have helped a lot of folks on here. Thanks for taking the time to post your experiences here and to thank those that helped you.

Copper Cutlass,
Congrats on your ten years. I watched one of you video's on You Tube, that Olds has gone through more changes and transformations than a DRAG queen at a transplant hospital !!
As I watched the video you included the fact you bought a house and you mentioned in your post you were 21 when you signed up here and it sent me down memory lane. when I was 21 I had a 57 Chevy sedan delivery set up for the strip, a 71 Triumph Bonneville and a 65 Tempest/GTO clone (before anybody called them clones) daily driver. Marriage, kids and a house forced the sale of the 57 and the Triumph,
and it was quite a few years before I was able to get back in to classic cars.
You were able to keep the car you purchased at 17 that's very cool and get your wife involved too !!! hats off !!!
Seems a lot of people benefit from the combined contributions and collective knowledge on this sight, plus it's not a bad place to vent sometimes.

I remember your early posts, and enjoyed watching the transformation...both the car and you! Thanks for sharing your journey and I know I look forward to more.
My car would be in great shape if I'd accomplished even half of what you've done with yours in the same time!
