yeah I've been trying to fix the damn thing It's on the front section of the Washington post. Its some kind of IMRS file and won't let me save it correctly. But it's a 50's model with a big tree - check it out, just struck me as funny

Almost looks like they built it there the tree in the back the hood.Looks staged to me. I did see a 34 ford pickup with a tree growing out of it more damage than what this one is showing. The size of that tree would indicate much older than the car. Still a cool picture.

I like that pic. I found a related auto story that is using this pic. Is this the article?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/sty...g-car-culture/ this is a good read, I'm sure some of us can relate to about new cars dumbing down new drivers.

The pic has a caption: "An old car near Biscay Minn. seems to have acquired a second trunk".

Can anyone identify that species of tree?

Around here, that looks a lot like a cottonwood tree. If that is true, I'd say its been there since pre-1985. I have a couple of those trees. I'm no biologist, but I know when mine were planted.
