1961 ols 88 to 1962 starfire interchange?

Friend of mine is parting out his 61 olds 88 convert so I thought I might use some of his chassis parts.
Front suspension looks the same but if I check my Hollander Interchange manual and my Oldsmobile Parts and Accesorry Catalog both say Steering gear, Control Arms, etc donīt intechange.
I even measured and parts look same.
What do you folks say, do i miss here something?

My understanding is the Starfire is nothing more than an 88 with a higher trim level.

I would have to agree and is it not true that a 62 shopmanual is a 61 shop manual with a small supplement for body changes etc...

Yes and yes. For 1962 you need both the 1961 CSM and the 1962 supplemental manual.
