The other day I mentioned something about a dentist in a thread and now the ads at the bottom of the page are for dentists! Wow, I have seen before that if I search on Amazon or Ebay for say a shop light I would get ads for shop lights for a week or so, but I never knew the search went on in this site and apparently into threads! It's the only mention of a dentist I have put out so it has to be from this site. I'll probably get those ads for a long time now since I mentioned it again! Be careful, you are being watched!!
As I read this thread the ad at the bottom of the page was for GMC trucks. I thought to myself, "Yeah, like I would ever buy a GM truck." Then the picture switched to the GMC truck towing an Airstream trailer. I mentioned to my friend last Saturday that I thought it would be cool to tow an Airstream with my Olds or my Ford truck. They'll still never get me to buy a GM truck.
Agreed. My sister got me an Echo Dot for Christmas one year so the next year I brought it to a white elephant gift exchange and passed it off to someone else.
Use the internet?. Got a cell phone?. Make purchases with a credit/debit card?.
Big Brother knows what your interests are, where you are, and your spending habits. Probably better informed than your significant other......
I use uBlock. It's FREE. It's OPEN SOURCE. I have NEVER received ANY advertisements on CO. Phrased differently >> I have NOT received one single advertisement - none, nada, nothing, Did I mention it's FREE?
I use 99,137 network filters + 47,145 cosmetic filters from uBlock. uBlock has banned\stopped the following (below) from the CO today - 7 or 38%. Since I installed uBlock (I'd have to look it up), it has banned/stopped 961,285.

Oh yeah, almost forgot and just remembered my former coworker who had commented in a mtg when SPAM mail was being discussed how his e-mail inbox was filled with offers for weight loss, male-enhancement and hair growth drugs, Russian mail-order women and the like. Someone suggested how he could have said e-mails directed to his junk box and he said ‘he’ll no, those are all products I'm interested in!”
