At home, big adjustment

Just learning this wheelchair thing, trying hard not to put too much a burden on Trudi, lots to get used to. I have help coming today to set up a program for my rehab, don't know what to expect, but what ever it is it's a start.

I'm not going to do anything with my cars till I have a better idea what the future brings, still nice to look at, all shiny and no place to go.. I should know more after a couple of weeks what my expected limits will be. I'll keep in touch. Iv'e had good run with Classic Olds, good friends, many years.... Tedd

Tedd, it is great actually hearing from you. Yes, you have had a great run on ClassicOlds but it ain't over my friend. No question, you have a lot of work ahead of you, but I am confident you will get there. You might have to give up the little cars but I bet you will be back in the Mistress. Keep working and keep posting. We love hearing from you.

Glad you are on the mend, make sure you do what the doctor and therapist tell you to do.

Tedd, we're all glad to have you back. We missed you and your wisdom. Mind the doctors and therapists. We're all hoping for your complete recovery. Hang in their buddy.

Really, really nice to hear from you Tedd, glad you're home! As others have said, listen to your therapist and doctors. Remember, the only place where success comes before work, is in the dictionary, and physical therapy is hard work. Don't get discouraged if progress doesn't come as quick as you hoped, just keep pushing, if anyone can do it, you can! We're all rooting for you to make a full recovery buddy!

Who dis? Nu fon! Tedd, I don't know you but I am praying for your full recovery from whatever has happened. Make sure to visit your cars as much as you can. I was sidelined hard last May and was in bed for about 6 months. I almost sold my car. I didn't think I would ever drive again. Here I am though, driving. You will too.

Plenty of love for you here Tedd. Do your best to keep a positive attitude. It can be a tough battle physically and mentally. Nice to hear that you have a caring partner next to you. Keep it up. Worth all the work for sure. 👍

Looks like you are one the right track with physical therapy and great mental status. Don't be hesitant to ask others for help other than Trudi, she will need a break now and then.

TEDD, mental positivity goes a hugely long way in your recovery. I know it sounds cliche, but if you think it, it will effect you. So, think positive thoughts and say positive things to yourself. If you think negatively it will effect you in that fashion as well. I suffered an injury last May and may never be the same. Every day is a new day. I am grateful for it. One thing I can assure you, You are going to be OK!

Great to see activity! In the future, please refrain from morbid posts like “well it’s been a good run”. Best wishes for continued recovery and life changing experiences.

Hope you're having good days. I know from experience any day not in the hospital is a good day, Well wishes for a speedy recovery.

Growing up I had an old timer neighbor and he would say to me "when I wake up in the morning I look down at my feet and if I can wiggle my toes I know I have to get out of bed and get on with the day". RIP Mr. Goff.
