I guess that follows the old saying "don't bring a knife to a gun fight" Only in this case it should say "don't bring a gun to a snowball fight".

Don't know about that neighborhood but here is Washtington state but we have had 5 cops killed and two wounded just since October. I think all cops in our area are a little edgy in any kind of crowd. Not making excuses for his behavior. I'll hold judgement until the whole story comes out

In the 1st link, in the 1st paragraph says his vehicle, a Hummer was stuck in the snow. I find that very hard to believe.

Some guys probably shouldn't carry guns.

I'll reserve my opinion too until I see all the information first but it certainly does not make sense.

Hey at least it was a good thing he was a cop. He was peed off cause they were hitting his hummer with snowballs so he came out gun drawn. He knew better than shoot somebody if it was a drug dealer or pimp the there may have been bloodshed.

I'm wondering how a police officer is driving a Hummer?

Hmmm... Chunking snow with intent to kill....
Never before have I associated snowballs with death. Of course my mom's evil brother knocked her in the face with an ICE ball, breaking one of her teeth.

I can see the laws changing soon - the decades-old fun snowball fights will become illegal.

That was, in fact, the headline above the story in the Washington Post.

Sadly, the only cars I see stuck in the snow around here are the SUVs.

Go see the thread about how stupid people are...

As for this particular incident, as reported here locally, the officer was simply stopped at a light. He first denied pulling his gun (which he did keep at his side), but videos posted on youtube proved him a liar also. He's suspended pending investigation.
