I mentioned in another post my Grandson is already a car guy, I’m trying to bring him along right !! Here’s a pic of the little protege and Grandpa in the 34.
Speaking of Father/Son car projects, it was a Father/Son team up in Warren, Michigan that did the refresh on my '67. The father had been an assembly line worker for Oldsmobile in Lansing for 38-years before they closed their doors. In 2014, their wife/mother passed from cancer and the Son found what is now my car as a project for the two of them to work on and to hopefully take their minds off of their grief. They completed the car in 2016 and enjoyed it for a couple more years before selling it to me in 2019. They loved the car, but needed the cash for another project car. They found the journey of the restoration together was as much or more fun than actually having the car. Here they are in the process of the restoration.

My 'project' (both of them!) are in my avatar. My son was somewhere around 7 or 8 years old when that picture was taken. He's now soon to be 24 and out on his own. Not as nutty as I am about cars but he's got a healthy appreciation which is OK for me and he always loves riding shotgun in the Olds when I take it out for some fresh air.
