Fusick Chrome
So last April I bought a passenger mirror from Fusick and got it installed over the summer. Today I decided to polish the chrome on the car and noticed that the mirror has a hundred or more pin head sized pits all over the back and base of the mirror
I am not real happy about it so I sent Fusick an email to find out what my options are regarding this problem.
Has anyone else had a problem with chrome parts from fusick and if so how did they handle it. Do you know if these replacement mirrors are" made in cheap China" parts?

I have gotten lots of stuff from them but this was the only chrome item. It looks worse after 8 months than the drivers side after more than 40 years. And it's always kept inside a heated garage.
That sounds like bad plating or prep, has to be chinesium, what isn't except interior trim and rubber?
I know these are dirty words here but Fusick's is not perfect, they're out to make a buck like everybody else.
I've had problems with stuff from them, I feel sorry for the guys that don't know any better.
No different than anybody else, if you'll accept it they'll gladly sell it to you.
Most repo parts are the same exact part, the parts outfits contract to china and wholesale to each other, probably have secret meetings to plan their monopolistic strategery.
It's mostly Parts Place doing the wholesaling, at the price they sell it to you and then the other's mark it way up.
If you buy a Parts Place chinesium repo part for twice as much from somebody else it isn't twice as good.

The only problem with my original chrome mirror is the ball joint doesn't hold it in place very long, been tempted to buy a repro but not if it's chinese communist junk.

I know Fusicks tries to carry the better reproduction parts,& some parts they don't carry at all,due to their likings, but regardless, that mirror came from overseas. There is a possibility that it came from Canada,as their are some parts like that coming from there, but not likely. The best thing is to have your original rechromed, but that is more expensive than buying a repop. That's the first thing most people look at.There are still a few platers out there that will chrome the diecast & potmetal parts.
