fuel efficient parking only?
what the heck is up with this! and who can enforce this. i would like someone to try and give me a ticket for parking in one of those spots. i will park in any one of these spots just to be an a$$. maybe not, i don't think i will go to any store that supports this crap. why should an environmental wacko get special privileges over the rest. i guess it is because they are mentally handicapped and bought into Al Gores lies. they have to park up front so nobody runs them over i guess.
sorry, just had to vent.

That must be a joke.
I know Europe had quite a few parking spaces for small vehicles. These were spaces for the tiny Mini Coopers, Smarts, etc. I probably wouldn't even be able to fit my wife's VW Beetle in one of these spaces.

Best Buy is one of these companies that makes a point of doing things like this, just to attract and gain credibility among the PC and green crowd.
As long as these spaces are way out at the far edge of the parking lot, they're fine by me. Since their car is fuel efficient, it shoudn't bother the owners to not drive the extra distance to the front of the lot, and then get their exercise walking 1/4 mile or so.
I often park at lot fringes anyway, for that very reason. It doesn't hurt me to walk, plus it keeps trifling-asses from parking next to you and dinging yer paint.
Handicapped spaces right at the front are great. I can even see the "expectant mommy" spaces in the last trimester (though I know couples who will demand them and get pissy over them two days after they find out they're pregnant- these are the same people who, as far as they're concerned, are having the only baby ever conceived). Other than that, it doesn't hurt anyone to walk a bit.
I guess it's no worse than my "Oldsmobile Parking Only" sign.

There is no way they can inforce this, there isn't any special permit or tags for a "fuel efficient car" as far as I know. I hope to find one of these spaces, and I'll park in it. I may even tune the carb rich just out of spite

You could always park there and if challenged, just say "Oh yeah, my big block V8 with 300+ HP was made to be as fuel efficient as possible by the manufacturer and does very well on gas mileage for a car of its age". What could they say to that statement in reply to their nebulous sign?

Park in it. If anyone challenges you, any of these responses will work:
1. What do you mean? My car has a fuel efficiency.
2. I've recycled it to save the planet.
3. Should I buy my (TV, Dishwasher, Range, or Washing machine) somewhere else.
4. Screw off.

We have fuel efficient vehicle parking at every store near me, they just put in a new six stall garage deal out in the parking lot for them at the grocery store.

I was told that they have to have lights on the buggies does that include signals
There are plenty of Amish around the long running joke though is true if all the electronics we like and used everyday crapped out they would continue on just the same.I do like the modern conviences and my oldsmobiles

Chicken-little-scientists had estimated roughly 300 million tonnes of CO2 are released into the atmosphere by automobiles in a year... However, nearly 500 million tonnes of Methane (considered to be worse than CO2) are released into the atmosphere every year... by COWS!
I would say as long as your not "driving" your cattle to BestBuy, your safe to park in any one of those spots.

Saying that cows cause pollution because they are flatulent is like saying that drinking water is bad for your because the communists put flouride in it!

True
When it comes to global warming livestock worldwide (cows, pigs, chickens, goats, lamas, etc.) are responsable for at least 6x as much as cars and trucks. Then you also have to factor in all the rainforests being cut down to make room for more cattle so we can eat our 1/4 pounders
