front bumper

front bumper

I am trying to take the bumpers off a 1966 starfire and the bolt is turning in the frame. anyone had this problem?

On my 65 98. You gotta cut the nut or reach inside the frame with a box wrench. Factory knarled the bolt where it comes through the frame for assembly line install, after 50 years of rust it slips.

There should be a hole in the frame to slip a socket and extension in to hold the bolt.

Thanks I will look and see if I have them. I know the bolts have ribs on them that is designed to hold them but after 48 years rust does its thing
